5.0 out of 5 stars Great tour down Memory Lane, November 16, 2010
This review is from: 50th Anniversary Album (Vinyl)
The verdict on Guy Lombardo was in a long time ago. You either like him, or you don't. I recommend this album to anyone who'd like to get a peak into the mind and heart of the WWII generation. These songs were standards then, part of nearly everyone's consciousness, even if some considered his music corny at the time. I heard all of these songs as a kid in the 50s and 60s, and it's nice to hear them again. I particularly liked the version of Chattanooga Choo-Choo on this album. Really nice to hear it on vinyl, too.
