5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to stay in touch with what bonds you together.
This is a book that can make a difference. It can get you moving when you're stalled or help you stay on the vibrant side of life with your mate. What I like so much about this book is the total practicality. For any of us that care about making our marriages work, fighting the tendency to neglect the positive times together is the most crucial thing. This book...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing and unsubstantial
I was very disappointed. I was looking for novel ideas for romantic dates to revive my marriage, but found the suggestions either predictable, impractical, or just stupid (a trip to Home Depot is considered a date?!). This book doesn't cost much, but you don't get much either.

Dating is an attitude. Attitude is a choice. Choose to date your mate. Choose to have fun! A great date does NOT have to be an expensive formal dinner out complete with wine and roses. A great date can be just about anything a couple decides to do together to have fun and enjoy each other's company. Enjoy these 52 dates and use them to spark your creativity to make the ordinary, perhaps even the mundane, extraordinary and fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great romantic ideas for people on a budget!, October 21, 2000

Someone gave us this book when we were newlyweds right out of college, living on a budget. We have had a blast going on the dates in this book! This is perfect for couples who are kids at heart, and don't have too much money to spend on creative dates. (By the way, we really enjoyed the Home Depot date:)

I bought this book for a newly married couple and they loved it. One thing I and my husband of 32 years liked was that it was so down to earth. Many of our 'dates' have taken place at our own kitchen table and Home Depot. Romance isn't something you find, it's something you make and this little book helps.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Dates, June 7, 2002

I really enjoyed reading this book as I am a romantic at heart and love to constantly try new things. The book is a bit on the smallish side but some good nuggets here.

I'd also recommend 300 Creative Dates that I found at the site 300creativedates. com -- a bit more but at 6 times the dates, well worth it.
