The book lived up to the title it made soldering for beginners simple and effortless. Have purchased/looked at a lot of other books that made an easy process very complicated. This book had wonderful instructions and even better projects. Would definately recommend it to any novice wanting to learn how to solder.

Simply Soldered is a wonderful book. It's colorful clear photos let you see exactly what the project will look like when you are finished. The basic soldering techniques are very helpful for the beginner. There are many different projects in the book to keep you busy for a long time. If your thinking about getting started with soldering jewelery this is the book for you!

Simply Soldered is full of detailed photos and clear instructions for even the first timers with soldering, yet it is full of tips for the experienced solderer. The ideas you get just from looking at all the sample projects in the book is worth the purchase.

I have to admit, I didn't read the product description as well as I should have, and thought I was shelling out $13 for an actual book. So when a very flat Amazon package arrived today, I was a bit disappointed. Upon opening it, the first thing I noticed was that it looked about as substantial as a magazine or maybe a thin periodical (it was only a few mm thick). After spying the familiar panda logo in the upper left corner, I realized it to be a "Design Originals" tutorial, the same company whose richly illustrated How-To books guided me through many a craft project as a teenager and later as an adult...

So while you may only receive 34 pages, rest assured that they are crammed with fun, thoughtful, inspiring projects and more gorgeous photographs than you can shake a soldering iron at. The only project in this book that I'm not anxious to try is the tutorial for the unapologetically ugly gourd dolls. Pretty much every other project looks amazing. You'll also find a great list of resources in the back.

In short, I'd highly reccomend Simply Soldered . Whether you're a jewelry artist like myself, looking for fun new way to flex your creative wings, or just love altered art & ephemera, you should probably get this book.

While it's not the basic book to solder all things "jewelry," it gives several projects AND shows how to do them in pretty good detail, including every item you'll need to have on hand to finish it. I'm looking forward to trying some of the projects shown. I thought the price was reasonable, too.

Inspiring examples - the artist has a very cool style with some nice suggestions on how to actually create them. If you like soldered charms, jewelry, etc. buy the book for your library.

better than expected - highly recommend - if you love to solder than you will love this book

The ideas are great, however, the instructions are kind of hard to follow and it is much shorter than I expected.

I loved this little book. Different from the rest of the books out there, it is a perfect addition to my craft-art library.

I really enjoy this book, has lots of ideas and is clear on the how tos!
