Product Description

Lenses are valuable items and even a small scratch can mar them forever. Always protect your camera's lens with a lens cap! Keep a spare cap in your gear bag for the inevitable lost lens cap, too! Pinch the sides of the cap and snap it into place - it fits securely and your lenses are covered! This high-quality lens cap fits any 52mm lens.

Customer Reviews

This cap fits the bill perfectly.

It looks and fits exactly like the Nikon one that came with the lens, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper.
Bob Prentiss
This cap is solid plastic and serves its purpose very well as it protects lenses from dust.

Bought this lens cap, expecting decent quality because of the reviews. That was not what I received. They sent me a cheapo lens cap with rickety moving parts. There's also a hole straight through it for the string, which exposes the lens to dust.

Another thing which was included in the package was a letter asking me to rate it five stars, and if I did they would give me 2 free microfiber cleaning cloths. No wonder this product has so many high reviews. It's not worth my time / money to bother sending it back, but I do urge you to realize this is not a quality product.

While this cap was on the way, I ran to a local Wolf Camera and bought a Vivitar 52mm lens cap, which is a similar style to this, only much better quality and does not have holes exposing the cap to outside air. I'd highly recommend that one instead.

They tend to bind and they don't stay on the lens real well. I like the Zeikos replacements much better. They are superior in quality, they don't bind and they clamp to the lens or filter solidly. Plus they are only a couple dollars more.

Exactly like some other reviews have said. These do the job of covering your lens. But is lighter weight and cheaper feeling than genuine Nikon. The threaded area is thinner and does not provide a strong hold like the original. You can easily pop it off without squeezing the release. It may not be a big deal for now, but wait until you find it has come off accidentally in your backpack and has been rubbing on the glass of your lens as you hiked for the last 3 hours. To make sure they are on tight, you have to turn and push it down while placing it over the lens, like screwing on a lens filter.

I was looking for a cheap but reliable clip on lens cover and this does the job nicely. it doesn't look like anything special but that doesn't really bother me!

I bought a used lens that was missing it's cap. I found this on Amazon. It's been great. In my opinion, it's even better than Canon's design, since my fingers don't scrape against the lens hood on this pinch-style cap. I'm considering getting more of these to replace my Canon-branded caps.

This cap is an excellent alternative to my Nikon OEM cap. I needed a cap without a Brand Logo to fix the sticker of my Cap Keeper Leash. This cap fits the bill perfectly.

I lost the original lens cap for my Panasonic G1 - this one fits perfectly and is at least as good of quality as the original.

Finally a cap that stays on! This perfectly fits my Canon SX20is camera. So much better than the one that came with the camera and NEVER stayed on.
