So-So mold for a fabulous mare.,

The mold doesn't do Wixom justice- the pose is odd, and the hindquarter is not sculptured correctly. Nor does it do justice to the quality of her movement, which is truly outstanding. The vertical balance is not quite right either, she stands up on more leg than the model would lead you to beleive. Her front end is well done, though; very elegant and characteristic of the breed and the Robinson bloodlines. Persons wishing to see a more accurate model of a show-type draft horse would do well to review a Peter Stone model, especially the one of MG's Prince.

NEW MOLD FOR 2001! Item: 00573 Cedarfarm Wixom is our newest draft horse sculpture. This lovely 17.3 hand coal black Percheron mare hails from John and Gerry Leekley's Cedarfarm Percherons. Wixom won the mare cart class at the 1998 and 1999 National Percheron Shows, and the halter classes at the 1999 Michigan State Fair and 1999 Ohio State Fair. Wixom is beautiful and versatile - she shines whether driven solo, or in a pair with her half-sister, Willow. Wixom even drives in Cedarfarm Percheron's six mare hitch, as part of the middle "swing" pair. She truly shines in the show ring. Artist : Donna Chaney Color : Black Breed : Percheron

This model is great, excellent for a new young collector due to its thick legs-less breakage. The only problem with this model is the tippy leg. doesn't stand too well. Dangerous for shelves

..fodder. They take unknown horses, make an inaccurate model of it, slap it on a shelf with a high price. Durable, but crudely sculpted and w\o tone. Also in this scary trend of cheesy "lookalikes" are Secretariat, a lesson pony, and dressage horses. They all look like regular horses with names slapped on them. The exceptions are the Seabiscuit and movie-based horses. P.S.--fix the ADULT FORM! I'm 15 and it doesn't work.
