Good Replacement Battery

This is the correct replacement battery for the Acer Aspire 5740. It fits correctly.

The battery capacity is good, though I don't think it lasts quite as long as the original battery.

When I bought the computer, I could get 4 hours out of the battery. This brand new replacement battery holds 2.5-3 hours on average.

For the price, it's a great replacement battery though.

Received this battery within the allotted delivery time. It charged to full charge very quickly and provides about 3.5 - 4 hours of battery life (depending upon what you are using it for). Was identical to the Acer factory battery I removed in my 5740, and half the price of the local battery warehouse.

We don't know how important our devices batteries are until they stop working, so when my laptop battery wouldn't hold a charge any longer, I was scrambling to get a replacement and found this one. The cost was only one-third of what I was quoted by an equipment manufacturer, and I received the battery the day after I placed my order. Packaging was excellent, very secure. Longer run time at half the price of OEM

Good: Longer run time than the OEM battery when new, at half the price.

Bad: Nothing significant.

Ugly: Be aware that Acer uses very similar model numbers for different product lines. I had to return my first order because it didn't fit. My fault - actually Acer's fault - not the vendor's.

Bottom line: Does the job at a reasonable price. Five stars.

Charge don't lasts long

Battery is good and perfect fit for my Aspire 5740-5780. But, the charging don't lasts long. Only 1.5 hrs and you need to recharge the battery again. Wish it provide more backup.
