The nearest outlet I had was too far away and I didn't want to run a long black or orange colored extenstion cord across my garage ceiling. This unit converts the AC to 24 volts for the Liftmaster 3800 and the wiring is white in color which made it less obvious.It was very easy to install.

Makes relocating electrical connection for the jackshaft operator easier than contracting a electrician to install a electrical receptacle where it is needed.
