5.0 out of 5 stars Works well enough on my Cannon XSi
I had bought two previous OEM lens caps from Amazon for my Cannon XSi since they keep dropping/getting lost. I figured I would switch to a more affordable alternative since I kept losing them. This cap works just as well as the OEM (and I didn't lose it on my recent European trip). The only difference noticeable is lack of the Cannon logo on the front. If I lose this one...

1.0 out of 5 stars Large clips/buttons leave no clearance for convex lens
UPDATE: I previously wrote that the picture in the description was wrong. It appears that has since been updated to show the correct lens cap. One should still keep in consideration that the clips/buttons will leave no clearance for your lens and may scratch/damage the glass. If you're using this over a filter, then you should be fine, but I would still not recommend this...

1.0 out of 5 stars Large clips/buttons leave no clearance for convex lens, October 15, 2010

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The cap in the picture shows a "cavity" on the back side. This is similar to the original canon lens cap design, such that the clips are held together by a circular rubber-band that allows a gap between the cap and lens itself. The actual lens cap does not have such a design. The clips on the actual cap depress towards the center, leaving no cavity in the back side. If your lens is convex (mine is), the rear of the cap may touch and scratch your lens. BEWARE!

1.0 out of 5 stars You get waht you pay for, October 4, 2010

The delivery was prompt but the lens cap was of very poor quality and broke after 3-4 days of use.

The price was excellent, but the lens cap lasted 3 days before it broke. The original canon lens cap never broke... I lost it after having it for over 2 years.

What do you say about a lens cover? It fits. It doesn't rattle. It's unremarkable. So I give it five stars. If it falls apart, I'll let you know.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just like the original CAP, November 22, 2011

I lost the lens cap for my camera so I purchased this one from Amazon. The item arrived in less than a week and it fits just like the original cap without the Canon mark. I will buy this again if needed.

This is a very inexpensive lens cap. I like how these "internal" squeeze ones attach. I like this better than the Canon (my lens is a Canon).

The caps work well stayin on the lens. However, one of them has already broken. I don't like that they are in two pieces which snap together versus being somehow molded or glued together. I would not recommend this particular product.
