I ordered this scope, after contacting the seller, and answering a few questions. The pictures do not do this justice. It is well made, and includes the mounting rings (nowhere is this mentioned). My only complaint is the outer focus ring is a little stiff, and even after mounting on the rifle, is not easily turned. Range is excellent, and works well from dawn to dusk. I mounted mine on a Mosin-Nagant M44 with an ATI mount-kit, and it is very solid. With 1/8" degree accuracy, the dialing in is very easy. It comes with slide over caps that pop-up for extreme weather, but I wind up removing them to be able to turn the distance and focus rings.

Ok, this is my follow up review. First off, the people reviewing these scopes that need instructions, go outside and use the gun on yourself. You are wasting air the rest of us may need someday. Very simple, put mounts on rifle, put scope in mounts, level, adjust based on laser or paper punching. WOW! Anyway, I first ordered this scope back in september, recieved it very quickly, although it was broken, (vertical turrett would not adjust), Aim Sport quickly rectified the problem. I recieved the new scope, bench sighted it with a laser, and found it was almost right on from the box. The mounts that come with the scope are less than good, AT BEST! I replaced mine with Weaver Quad Locks for about 10 buck at walmart. First time at the range, I could not believe the clairity, every bit as good as my Leopold vxIII, (believe it or not, its true!). I have it mounted on my 22-250, so recoil is not a huge factor. I cannot say for magnum rifles were recoil is much greater, but I have fired 80 rounds with out any loss of zero. The magnifacation is overpowering and much more than I expected. Even at 400 yrds+ it stays clear and crisp. The dual illumination is cool, but still have not figured out any real world applications for it. Over all great scope, Dont be scared off due to its extreemly low price. Any problems you may incure, the Aim Spot staff is great, they quickly rectify the situation without any hassel. Cant say enough good things about this scope.

6-24x50 AIM Sports scope,
This review is from: 6-24x50 AOE DUAL ILLUMINATE Rangefinder RIFLE SCOPE (Misc.)
I put this scope on my Remington 760 chambered in .30-06. I used a laser bore sight for the Initial adjustments, when I went to the range it was off by about 3" to the left at 50 yards so I corrected it and sent the target to 100 yards. I don't know if it was my trigger technique, breathing, ammo type, or if it was the scope. but I was only able to get the scope accurate up to 2.5" at 100 yards. I'm going to be doing more calibrations later but so far I've fired 20 rounds with it, and it has surpassed expectations. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needed an amazingly good scope for a very low price. I'll do business with AIM Sports any day.
I'll try to update this review as I work with the scope to get a better zero.

I haven't had a chance to get it sighted in yet, but my first impression is positive. Scope recieved as advertised. Shipping was almost immediate. Construction seems solid. Optics remain clear trough out the magnification range. Looking forward doing some shooting!

FAST Shipping!!!! Just got the scope today. Took it out of the box. Everything was in tact, functions well and were it's support to be. Nothing was broken!! Looks like a nice scope, clear view, haven't had a chance to mount it or site it in yet. I'll have to follow up...

this scope holds good potential but some minor problems noticed in installation and first use. rings are a bit on a low grade for holding firmly so i'd suggest buying a better set but it was easy to level and fix for eye relief. on first shoot i found out the my elevation dial was broken, pretty f'ed up because i couldnt even laser sight it. will be using company warranty to get a replacement as soon as possible, will post again to see if it was a fluke.

This scope is very good. It is clear and the lighted reticles make it easy to see the crosshairs in low light conditions. The high powered zoom isn't blurry like many other scopes are, and I would say that this scope could be used to longer distances than most rifles can be effectively used. The spring on one of the end lids came broken and rather than flipping up like it should it just falls over the scope, so I just removed that one. I don't think most would come that way, but rather mine was just a fluke.
EDIT: I mounted this on a 7.62 rifle and firing rounds through that took the scope off zero so far that it can't even adjust far enough to the right to zero again, but rather is stuck zeroed 6 inches left at 120 yards. This is still a 3 star item because i believe a small caliber or rimfire rifle wouldn't knock the scope around too much. I was planning on getting another scope with a wider field of view, anyway.

This is the 2nd scope I will be sending the scope back for exchange. I like everything about it but the fact I can not get a zero with this thing. A daisy scope I used worked just fine on my .22 however this thing SUCKS. I want to warn anyone who will listen. do not get this. Or you will be playing musical chairs with this company for a very long time in order to get a working model. To be specific the last one I had neither the vertical or horizontal turrents worked to adjust it. this time the vertical turrent worked but not the horizontal turrent.
So since I like the desighn of the thing and the range finder works... all you do is point scope at object zoom in to 24 and adjust the front ring with the yardage on it till the image is clear to tell you range. I learned this trying everything to get a zero. I with there was a way to fix the turrents where I could get more adjustment this time to the right 3 inches and up a small amount. I can shoot tight groups with it in the wrong place. i state again this is the 2nd model I can not get a zero on. I got a zero using my daisy sight. |
