6 Button Arcade Pad for Sega Genesis

Many of the Sega Genesis games, especially in the later years rellied heavily on the 6 button control bad. If you want to play a fighting game, of course, you'll need one of these. But either way--it ain't the same with out 6 buttons. You get used to the controller. Better just buy one just in case you need it!

If you play fighting games such as Street Fighter 2 or Eternal Champions on your Sega Genesis, then this 6-button controller is for you. Most every other Genesis game only uses 3-buttons though (the original Genesis controllers only had 3) and so 6 is pretty superfluous. But if you need a new controller for your system, get this, because you can't find new 3-button Genesis controllers anymore.

I had to find one of these controllers so I could play one of my all time favorite games Eternal Champions:Challenge From The Darkside for Sega CD. I finally did find a couple and I must say they are great and fit nicely into your hands. Trash the old 3 button controller and upgrade to the six button controller and you can play and enjoy more games for your Sega Genesis and Sega CD.

I have one of these, and it is perfect for Mortal Kombat (on both Genesis and Sega CD), Street FIghter 2 SCE, and other fighting games. And it still works with older Genesis and Sega CD games

I had purchased this controller becuase I already owned one of this model and desired an equally professional controller for multiplayer. It was exactly what the picture represented and functions beautifully. This particular model is great because it does away with many of the design flaws of previous controllers. Besides the obvious leap to six button freedom, the buttons themselves are masterfully crafted. The directional button has just enough spring to let you know which direction it's neutral central position is in, a quality that was embarassingly lacking in previous incarnations. The small X, Y, and Z buttons were a great idea and are surprisingly easy and natural to wield. While the A, B, and C buttons below them may be a bit larger and a smidge less perfect, they still manage to put every button on the other genesis controllers I own to shame. The tilt of the six action buttons is hardly noticeable, while you'll certainly notice a lack thereof if you switch back to a regular controller. This model comes with Turbo and Slow functions as well, though you will rarely use them. These functions are considered by many to be overrated, but the option is there, and luckily it does not detract from the functionality in any way. All in all it's a very solid controller and I'm very impressed with it, Since I began using this model I haven't looked back once, and that's the truth. I know this review sounds a bit too good to be true, but it really is an impressive controller and I encourage any genesis owners to invest in one or more.

I bought two of these controllers along with Golden Axe 2 for Sega Genesis. The controller would not work correctly for Golden Axe 2. If anyone knows how to correct this, let me know, thanks :)

I ordered this controller but got a different one that was listed here very disappointed. Although the one i got i could of got for 6 bucks on this sight http://www.amazon.com/Classic-6-Button-Controller-Not-Machine-Specific/dp/B002HP18IO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1299797858&sr=8-1 . The controller i received is okay and will do the job.

well this wasn't a game i don't know why they asked me those questions but i took them did them so that i could review the controller it work right and also it was delivered to me fast.

I have had quite a bit of these 6 button/ multi button controllers put out by Sega. My first one lasted a year before completely going out of commission. The other ones all came with one or more button not working. I have gotten these controllers at traveling markets, off the internet, and many other places. These later Sega controllers are not worth the money. I would recommend getting the old 3 button controllers or any of the Sega Arcade Stick pads.

Bottom line: The buttons often arrive non-functioning. Even the best of these controllers do not last.

Take note: All of my controllers were purchased brand new.
