This is the best Arcade stick available for the Sega Genesis! It is very well made and is very functional as well. Get this stick to play fighting games but works well on any game. That is because of the rapid fire feature which can be assigned to any individual button. Over all great buy and allows you to enjoy Genesis games in an arcade fashion!

Great for fighting games,

I bought this piece of awesomeness a couple months back and have been loving it ever since.
This should only be played for fighting games or arcade ports like Streets of Rage 2. The controller gives a fantastic feeling of using a real arcade pad to play. The joystick responds great and can take some punishment of hard turning and jerking during the heat of battle. The buttons are also what makes this thing worth getting. The games respond just as well as they would to a standard Genesis controller. Another great and overlooked feature is the speed control for your turbo buttons (X, Y, Z if the game doesn't use them). You can actually set the speed for them, it's quite impressive and helps out a lot on menu screens. I totally recommend this if you have more than one fighting game in your Genesis library, because face it, it sucks not being able to execute Fatalities properly with those 3 buttons. Pick this up and be happy you did.

Arcade-like experience, but at home,

This thing is sturdy as heck. It was designed to mimic the controls of an arcade machine, and does a good job of it - a control stick large enough to keep your hand from cramping too much, and 6 large buttons (which take a little more effort to press, but you get used to it pretty quickly). I think we bought ours for use with fighting games, but it quickly became our favorite controller.

Not for Wimpy Players,
This review is from: 6 Button Arcade Stick (Video Game)
I have been searching for one of these. I had a similar one with my old sega (the buttons were colored, but it was still branded sega). My brother-in-law and I BEAT the cr(*BEEP*)p out of it during frenzied game play and it kept on ticking. I've had it up to here with the effeminate controllers they try to foist on us these days. At best it takes 3 months to screw up a N64 controller. And WHAT is this thing they are calling a joystick these days? Aw, it's a widdle button I can massage with my widdle thumbs... Give me a REAL STICK!

This had to have been made by some spawn of satan, how could Sega let this go into production? It's bulky and hard to use. Not a good buy at all.
