6 CD Set to Accompany Listen

80 dollars is all to ridiculous for a CD that I want to use for 5 minutes merely to place on my iPod and never look at again. The only pieces that strike me as maybe not being public domain are the Copland selections. Ask your instructor or classmate for the discography and find it yourself. It takes some legwork but it's worth saving this ridiculous fee.

Rather than spend your money on this extremely overpriced set, choose from the following options:

1. Buy the book with the CD set, which is included as a "package deal"
2. "Get a used copy" of a friend's CD's (because you're probably buying this for a class).
3. Download the songs...they're all public domain and available online.

WHEN I ORDERED THIS I THOUGH IT CAME WITH THE BOOK. I TAKE THE BLAME FOR THAT FOR NOT READING CLOSER. HOWEVER, THE PACKAGE CAME IN A TIMELY MANNER AND I AM PLEASED OVERALL. THE CD'S WERE AS DESCRIBED AND WERE PROPERLY PACKAGED. THANKS FOR SMOOTH TRANSACTION. I WOULD AND I WILL BE USEING YOU AGAIN IN FUTURE!

Package came on time but was in a hard to open package that caused things to rip. Product was listed as new but was not in its original wrapping/packaging, bent on the side and had bent corners too. Have not yet listened to all 6 CDs to make sure they work. Overall it was a good deal and was MUCH cheaper than buying it fresh, $16 vs $50, but I just wish it were in a little better condition for being listed a new.

Yes, the price of this compilation is a little extreme.

Yes, this collection is fantastic.

In my 5 years of schooling, this is the most interesting textbook I have read. This 6-CD set is a fantastic addition to the text. A year after taking this course I am still popping this disc in, listening to amazing recordings of Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Debussy, etc. The price of textbooks will always be high, but in this rare case it is actually worth the money.

Item was lost in mail but response was rapid and I was given a full refund for my purchase. Overall, good seller and the mistake was on the mails part.
