4.0 out of 5 stars Don't listen to the bashing reviewer below (luis hernandez)
whatever this guy says in his review about this cd is sooooooooo not true. I've never heard more of a lie, this is a great cd (except for the ballads, which are somewhat boring) and if you think she's so bad, why don't you try singing, yourself? she's just trying to do what she's always wanted and you should admire her courage to do just that. she is totally wholesome...

3.0 out of 5 stars Alright
I bought it and it is true, she doesn't have the best singing ability but her voice is good enough to pull it off. Some of the songs are ok but others hit you right there if you know what I mean. I'd recommend this CD. But if you are just buying into the hype that she's the greatest thing to the Hispanic culture since dirty rice, don't get your hopes up or see if the good...

As for the snide remarks about Jennifer's a$$, i think weve all heard enough and it's getting really old

I have always loved jennifer lopez as an actress. and fell in love with if you had my love. and got the cd when it came out and i loved it. just recently got this 2 cd set version, adn the remixes on disc 2 are awesome. as well as bonus track on disc 1. jennifer is a very talented woman. and for some other peoples reviews, jennifer can sing very well, and didnt learn spanish over-night. she is a very beautiful latina who grew up speaking spanish. anyways this is a special edition of this cd that is ver work buying. jennifer's last 2 cd's (this is me then, & rebirth) were nto the best she has dont, on the 6 will always be a classic. a great summer cd. hopefully jennifers next cd will be more like this one and j.lo, more of the latin dance, and pop. not all the r&b hip hop stuff. love ya jen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Answering Question Below, June 13, 2001

Dude, this is a 2-CD Set. The first CD has same tracks as original On the 6 CD and the second CD has the 5 bonus tracks. They're really hot, energy-filled songs that are perfect for parties.

I love her. She can sing, dance, and even act. I just love her album because it gives me that Latin bite everytime I play this. The best tracks for me are "If You Had My Love", "Should've Never", "Waiting For Tonight", "No Me Ames" (the Ballad Version), "Feelin' So Good" and "Let's Get Loud". Her funky/sexy/Latina/groovy styles impress me. I love it. Try it for yourself!

Uhhh, I didn't actually buy "On The 6" yet, buhh I have heard all of it and did buy Jlo and it waz okay. I say that on the 6 iz a bit better than Jlo though. Anyway, I like Jennifer Lopez as an actress a lot more than I like her music. I like "If You Had My Love" and "Waiting for Tonight" and off of Jlo, "My Love Don't Cost A Thing", "Walking On Sunshine", and "Play" are really good. I reccommend them both if you really like Latin stuff. I myself do not like Latin and I just listen to the dance stuff, and that's okay. She waz dazzling in "The Cell" and in Jack waz okay (I know 4 people in that movie, I went to school with the girl who says "That was wonderful Lewis"). Bottom line: good for Latin loverz, liked her in the movies, songs I did hear were really entertaining.

1.0 out of 5 stars If I had My Money Back - Part II, August 4, 2000

(REAL NAME)

Whoever told Jennifer Lopez that she could sing seriously needs a full-frontal lobotomy. Ms. Lopez, whose only claim to fame is her gluteus maximus, provides her listeners with an hour of sheer torture as she tries to struggle to break a note. In the same way that Paula Abdul became a star, Jennifer proves us that her best friend is a good synthesizer. If you thought her acting was bad (she appears like she is reading cue cards all the time) Jennifer's singing is so artificial and bad, that it makes Puff Daddy's "Forever" album (which flopped) look like a welfare-case when it comes to talent. Here are my reviews of the songs on this album:

1. If You Had My Love - I would change the title to "If I Had a Voice." Just hearing her trying to break a note on this track will make you want to hit the stop button on your CD player.

2. Should've Never - That's right....She "Should've Never" made this album. Awful!

3. Too Late - Yes, It's "Too Late!" She already has made the worst album of 1999.

4. Feelin' So Good - I didn't "feel so good" when I saw the video or heard this song. Ms. Lopez says she is part of the Latin Explosion. I disagree. This song proves that she is lost in her cultural identity, more so than Bryant Gumbel.

5. Let's Get Loud - Oh, please let's not. We don't want to hear the dogs barking all night after listening to this song. Pure dance-wannabe song.

6. Could This Be Love - Probably a tribute to Puff Daddy,it made me fall asleep listening to it on my CD player.

7. No Me Ames - In this song you'll hear a true and talented voce...that of Marc Anthony's. He is the hidden gem in this album. Jennifer sounds like she learned Spanish overnight with a Berlitz tape course. Only listened to it because I am a great admirer of Anthony.

8. Waiting For Tonight - Catchy tunes can't save this song. Pure synthesizer! Her voice is hardly heard!

9. Open Off My Love - It won't be a top 25 song. Trust me!

10. Promise Me You'll Try - Slow and boring. Just like her acting. Horrible sounding ballad.

11. It's Not That Serious - Her singing is not "serious". There are true Latin Divas out there such as La India and Brenda K. Starr, but Lopez is not!

12. Talk About Us - If "us" means her and Puff Daddy, than I'll pass on this one.

13. No Me Ames (ballad version) - Same song as #7, only more slower and without the salsa beat.

14. Una Noche Mas - Same as "Waiting for Tonight" but in Spanish only.

As for the additional tracks on this import, I only have one question - Why? Why did Jennifer decide to cover the theme to Mahagony on this album and not on the album's U.S. release. Unless she is going to try to wear super afro-sheen wig and start hanging out with Michael Jackson, then Jennifer isn't and will never be Miss Diana Ross as she thinks she is. The extra track on this disc shouldn't be a reason for any of her fans to buy this sad excuse for a debut album.

Trust me! Spend your money discovering true Latin divas/groups that are hidden out there. La India, Brend K. Starr, Nuyorican Soul, Safire, are all wonderful alternatives to this album. Ms. Lopez must realized that she doesn't have a talented bone in her body (the gluteus maximus is a muscle, not a bone). I would urge all true music lovers to pass this one by, and discover true dance divas like those mentioned above. Jennifer please stick to dancing
