5.0 out of 5 stars An Apartment Dwelling Cook's Viewpoint
This is one of the best Dutch Ovens I have owned. For couples or small families it is the perfect size. I like it best because it can go from stovetop to oven (over 350 degrees). This pan make roasting meats fun again, You can brown it on the stove top and then go right to the oven. It is deep enough that you can leave the lip off and not splatter up the oven to much. It...

3.0 out of 5 stars The handles make it not a Classic
I love my Anolon Classic cookware and have accumulated about 30 pieces including 4 qt. and 10 qt. Dutch ovens. I prefer the Classic series because of the material used for the handles. This item has metal handles like the Professional cookware although the pictures on the side of the box show the Classic resin handles. I haven't used this and might send it back. I...

It is overall a very versital pan. It does fit the professional series better than the classic, but the price was definitely classic.

I've been using Analon Classic cookware for several years and am very pleased with it. I just bought a second Dutch Oven because the one I have gets so much use. The non-stick works well: it's really easy to clean, and very hard to burn your food onto the bottom... perfect for the inattentive chef! This size works really well for soup and chili recipes. My older version of this pot has lasted quite well over time.

There were no surprises with the Dutch Oven. Cooks well, and easy to clean.

I would for sure if I could exchange it for the 5.5 qt. 'true' Classic at a comparable price but for some unknown reason it costs three times as much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anolon Classic 5-Quart Dutch Oven, June 30, 2006

I really like my Anolon Classic Dutch Oven. I have all Anolon cooking items. They are very easy to clean and hold up great. Would not have any other brand. I tell all of my freinds how great they are. I expect to pass them on to my children when I have no further use of them. Anolon is the GREATEST on the market as far as I'm concerned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cookware to use on ceramic cook tops, February 22, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 6 Qt. Covered Dutch Oven
I bought my first Analon Classic frying pan on the recommendation of a store clerk and I have been building on my cookware collection ever since.
I am happy with its performance and they are ultra easy to clean without scouring. They are also very flat on the bottom which is a must for ceramic cook tops.
The Analong Classic style has been discontinued for newer updated styles. I could only find this last piece on Amazon.
Thank you.
