Gr 3-6--In one-to-two page entries, Hebert provides simple instructions for projects that can be completed in five or less easy steps. Craft titles such as "Dough Bears" or "Gum Wrapper Beads" are clarified by one-sentence descriptions designed to pique interest. The supplies for each project are generally available in most homes or from local craft shops. In three instances, "Adult Help Required" is indicated. Following the same format, Magic Tricks gives directions in sections entitled "Getting Ready" and "Showtime." Due to the nature of the subject, these descriptions are more extensive; although the tricks are clearly presented, they require more study and practice for success. Examples of magician's patter are provided. Both books contain rudimentary black-and-white sketches that help clarify the texts. Good rainy day activities for aspiring artists or prestidigitators.

Good for kids,

This book has good tricks for kids however some of the directions were hard to understand. Overall there were many great tricks and this is a must have book for any magician.
