For the price. It is good. The manufacturer honers the warranty. I'm sure there are better heaters of this type but not for the same reasonable cost. It is a safe product when used according to its instructions. It is also very economical when compared with Propane heaters... My neighbors, who I bought this for, have been used this outside almost everyday for 3 months...

I wasn't expecting miracles -- just a little extra heat so I could sit on my deck on days when the breeze was a bit too cool. This does NOT do the trick. It says it generates "infrared heat unaffected by wind" but any little breeze negates the very small amount of heat this thing puts out. That's surprising, especially given its huge size. I thought a "tabletop" heater would be roughly lamp-sized, but this thing is BIG. But even sitting at my table on the deck, with this heater in the middle, on a 60-degree day, trying to read with my book and hands on the table, my hands were too cold. Occasionally the sun broke through and my hands immediately warmed up -- much more so than from the heater. And that was with the heater set on HIGH.

Don't waste your money. I fully expected to love this heater, and was looking forward to extending my precious deck time. Instead, I have to take it apart, repack it, and send it back. It's certainly not worth the $170 I paid. I wouldn't keep it if it was free.

I put that on a small table on my deck, near a bench and used it all winter long for my breaks. You don;t have to leave it on, it warms very quickly and gets very comfortable.

No propane means less risks (from my perspective) so very happy with this product.

This heater does not produce any useful heat. Unless your hands are an inch under the heat source you can't really tell there is any heat being generated. This was a complete waste of money.
