I'm enjoying all the benefits of this part on my jeep. I feel like this intake improved throttle response and definitely allows more engine noise under harder acceleration. The V6 in the jeep is surprisingly throaty when you mash on it. The kit is well made and even includes a bracket which mounts to the engine to stabilize the intake tube. Installation took me about 40 minutes, give or take. All the components are very well made and the filter is pre-oiled, so that's a plus too. The only reason I didn't give this intake 5 stars is due to the price. I find all these things to be extremely over priced, even though it is one of the cheaper one's on Amazon, I don't feel like there is 200 bucks worth of stuff in the box. All in all though, I highly recommend this item.

My 2008 Jeep JK Wrangler has noticeably better low-end response with this installed. Intake roar at WOT is pretty sweet as well. I don't know (yet) if this will improve my fuel economy, but it certainly hasn't negatively impacted it, which is fine with me.I put all the parts together and figured out where each part goes; after that, it took about 45 mins to install. I had a heck of a time trying to get the front engine bolt off, but besides that, it was quite easy.

This was so easy to install once I looked at the instructions and threw them away. This is what I did. Put the hose portion together and then the cage. Take out OEM filter and tube then install cage where the filter box was. Put the hose on and attach the two. That's it. Took me all of 25 minutes. As for the MPG's, they went up about .75 on city and around 2 on highway. Didn't hear too much of a difference in intake sound i.e. whistling noises but I can hear a deeper exhaust note then before.

I liked the idea of improving air-flow to my engine (2010 Jeep JK), so bought this system based on K&N reputation. The directions were a little lacking, and I have more than an average knowledge of engines. One bolt stripped out and I had to use parts I had around the garage. The installation took me about 2 hours, from removal of the old system to installation of the new system. Is performance improved? Not indicated by the seat of my pants, but I do believe their performance graph. No additional noise was noticed from in under the hood. I would recommend a system like this for anyone, but it just doesn't have to be K&N. I would have hoped for more - but this is my first purchase of their product.

My first impression when I test drove the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was that it was quite gutless. Coming from a 325hp Chevy truck, this was going to be a big change. After doing some research, it seemed that a cold air intake was the best bang for the buck so to speak. UPS guy dropped it off at about 11:30, I unpacked everything and gave the instructions a quick once over. Looked easy so I decided to install over lunch hour. Simple as heck, probably took less than 1/2 hour to install. Took it out for a little test drive and power gain was instantly noticeable. Don't have acces to a dyno, but the good ole seat of the pants dyno worked just fine. I love the sound of a cold air intake too. Reminds me of the old days when we flipped the lid of the air cleaner on Mom's Buick. Highly recommend!

Very Good Buy,

I just had it arrive very quickly, also installed on my 2009 JK Jeep. I wasn't expecting to fly back in my seat with this intake but it did have a noticable throttle response and a new low end quickness. Very nice if your commute is in the city... passing power.Took about 2 hours to install due to minor mistakes on my part the instructions are thorough but i think its easier installing by the picture. All in all a very good buy for the Jk wrangler

Very easy to install, but if you have a hard time just grab the paper instructions and grab what ever can get to veiw youtube and follow the instructions. I went from having 13-14 city miles to 18-20. Very Pleased. Make sure you check if it is emission legal. P.S. I also installed the MSRP Cat back.

I really like the sound of the intake on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The directions were awesome and very easy to follow. I have not and probably will not notice a change in my fuel mileage, since I only drive approximately 50 miles a week with my Jeep, but It does sound and look good! I would definitely recommend.

The K&N works well and sounds good, it sounds like the old days of turning the air cleaner upside down, you can really hear it suck air at wide open throttle, at lower throttle its not so loud, it whistles at a certain RPM.It did help power and throttle response, the sound makes it feel a lot faster than before. I still feel that all these cold air intake kits are way overpriced however. I got a deal under $200.00 many want $248.00. Its got a plastic tube with a brace set up I did Not think was very professional. I got a cold air Kit for my 3/4 ton Ford made by Spectre for $141.00 that had polished aluminum tubing, Carb certified legal all states. I would have bought one for the Jeep, but they dont make one for it yet. Its much better looking. But the K&N works well. Its more fun to drive with it installed, I like the sound a lot.

Easy install. I would pre-assemble as much as you can before popping the hood. This makes the install process much faster. The toughest part is removing the engine bolt. Saw immediate results in improved gas mileage! Sounds great, great purchase!
