I bought this for my 11-year old girl. She (and little sis) both had fun with it. The only caveat is make sure an adult helps. The chemicals can mar furniture, and bottle tops and stoppers are too tough for kids to open and close. This is the only reason I give it a 4 out of 5. Another fluke with our kit was the presence of some sort of grub that had burrowed into the Styrofoam container(eeww). We added a biology lesson to our perfume chemistry!

I bought this for my daughter who is home schooling and she loves it. She is a girly-girl who gets teased by her jock sisters for how she is. Once she got this, her passion for perfumes became a science. She loves studying the anatomy associated with olfactory sencing and she is getting into the whole science of aromatherapy and how scents affect our moods. The kit is very basic-- but she is expanding into her own and buying new scents and bases.

This is a really neat science kit for those girls who like to make their own perfume. Included in the kit is a great book which covers the background of perfumes and different experiments that you can do.

This was a gift to my granddaughter who had this on her Christmas List. She was thrilled to have an actual perfume kit with real oil essences to make perfume with. She also understood the directions and paid attention to the warnings that we adults instilled in her. A very educational, fun gift to give.

I have enjoyed using the Perfume Kit. I have always wanted to create my own perfume and this has allowed me to do that. I am still learning about this business, but feel that this is a start. Now I see why it is always sold out.
