The jacket will work best for those at the small end of the size scale. I'm 5-10 and 140 and the Small fits very well, whereas I'm used to jackets running slightly to very large. It's not a whole size off like some 66 North Iceland jackets are, but maybe a half-size. The shoulders, arms, and side panels are a stretchy fabric that reminds me of the Arc'teryx Tau. The front and back panels are a more conventional fleece with a tiny grid pattern, more noticeable on the blue than the black. The inside is very soft fleece. The collar comes up high and is thick and soft. It's got two hand pockets, a chest pocket, and two interior drop-in pockets. I just got it so I can't comment on its performance but I'll bet it will do well. It seems like a top-quality garment.
