I ordered the 66 Degrees North Women's Esja Fleece Jacket to use as a middle layer for travel this past winter. While it was a rather thick middle layer, it was perfect for my purposes and helped me keep warm. The fleece is very soft, quite comfortable and very warm. It was quite fitted, even under the arms where most fleeces are huge, but not uncomfortable. I normally wear an X-Small (size 0 clothing) and the X-Small fit well, though I would probably order a Small if I was to order another one for use as more of a jacket than a second layer. The X-Small fit more like a sweater. Like it appears on the model, it is rather short on the torso, but not uncomfortable or odd looking. I would definitely but this item again and have recommended it to others already.

I purchased my first 66 North jacket on a vacation in Iceland about 5 years ago - a friend who had spend a year doing graduate studies there had recommended it since, as he put it and another reviewer put it, it gets brutally cold there with crazy elements all over the place and you need to be genuinely warm and that's what they do - none of this poorly-constructed stuff that the wind flies through. My previous purchase was more of a style thing and it needed to fit under my other clothes as there was no extra room in my bags, so it's thin and, well, small. I wanted something a little heftier. This is that. It is unbelievably soft, form-fitting, great materials - I can't get over the structure of the pockets - they're made out of actual material so you can pull on the zipper and open the pocket without having to hold onto the jacket with your other hand. It just makes sense.
My only issue is that this really does fit me and I would have expected it to be looser. I got a small and it fits more like how an extra small normally fits me. It's fine as I can wear it, but it's not what I was expecting and so I would recommend buyers look for information about measurements before purchasing.

I absolutely LOVE this jacket. I have a bit of a coat fetish, but this is not only stylish and form fitting, but it also keeps you nice and toasty. I really don't need anything else. I heard about this company when I was in Iceland and those Icelandic people sure know what they are doing when it comes to cold weather.

Another sad account of the sweater looking great on the model and less than great on you. The fleece is FITTED which is nice, but the material is BULKY, and STIFF-ISH which is weird. It holds its shape well, which means it gives you a different shape all together (chunky). Great for layering and if you really don't care what you look like, but not if you want to look cute.
