Should Have Been Aborted,
By Meth Panther "Actonius" (Maryland) - See all my reviews

I give this five stars for being, undeniably, the worst movie I have ever seen. Hands down.
A bunch of people travel to a desert, where they find an artifact. An old man decides, after looking at it for a split second, that it is millions of years old. The demon child travels along the ground quickly and you see the camera move from his viewpoint, presumably so that they didn't have to film an actual demon moving. The demon child makes noises that are endlessly repeated on a 3-second loop. The sound effects of the demon child were so poorly done, so little effort put into them, that it becomes hysterical, then irritating, then baffling. Each death scene features the actors tightly holding a crappy looking doll to their chests and shaking it back and forth while screaming to simulate that something, no matter how stupid, is going on. The cover is misleading; you actually think you may see a ridiculously rendered demon child. You don't. It's just a crappy doll. More effort was put into the cover than the movie. I am happy that I have seen this movie, for now I can say I have seen the worst film ever made, and if I'm wrong, well it has got to be close. I've seen XXX films with better acting and story. I give it 5 stars only because it is so incredibly bad that anything pales in comparison. Nothing I've seen comes close. It has achieved the pinnacle.

Demons? Where?,
This review is from: 666 Demon Child (DVD)
This movie is by far the worst thing I have ever watched. Lets go through some of the problems here:
1) Acting...There really isn't any... 2) Plot...What plot? 3) Same scene...seriously how many times can you show the SAME EXACT scene in a movie? I think they had the RV driving down the street scene 10 times... 4) The "demon child" made an annoying crying noise that never stopped 5) The script...I don't think they made one and I quote a line from this crap "Probably older than time" I MEAN COME ON! This list could go on. But for the love of god do not even waste your time or money on this

So as the video stores are going out of business I find myself going "Well...it's only a buck...remember when a VHS used to cost $80.00?". Needless to say rather than researching the good reveiwers here online I just bought it. Then I regret the time I spent on it more than the dollar. This is one of those films. What makes this one even worse than most is normally when I have a very bad movie I am intrigued to re-watch it with the commentary as these are usually fascinating in the study of delusional minds. This didn't have a commentary. It is as bad as the others say.

Very rarely do I see a movie so awful that it is comparable to Manos: The Hands of Fate, but this movie certainly gives that one a run for its money!
The opening scene is downright ridiculous. For several WHOLE minutes, we see this Native American dude walking through the desert. For several minutes. No dialogue or anything. Just walking... and walking... and walking... and walking... And then some young'uns (and an old dude) come along in a RV. They find an egg. Rather than checking around for the mom or dad of this egg, they just take it and set it on the table in their RV. The acting is atrocious, it seemed that no one had any acting experience (I'm probably right on this, anyway) The baby hatches. It is immediately apparent that it is just a cheap rubber doll. Every time the baby attacks someone, the scene consists of the 'victim' grasping the doll to their chest as they flail around and make fake-looking expressions of pain or terror. The one scene I remember the most is this one girl getting ready for the shower. The camera spends an inordinate amount of time taping her getting undressed (obviously for the T and A) She then goes inside, where the camera spends some more time ogling her washing. The demon child attacks her, resulting in another fake-looking attack/dying scene. When the girl finally dies, her body slumps out of the shower, so her head and arm is visible, dangling out. HOWEVER, when her friends find her, she is not in this position. Her body is found curled up in the far corner of the shower. A dead person certainly can't curl up to die after the fact, can they? Derp. The rest of the movie is not much better. What is supposed to be a scary film as evinced by the title is anything but. The end of the movie was confusing, and some girl was screaming and screaming and the Native American guy apparently didn't care about it. If you want to watch this movie, only do so to rip into it - have a MST3K party!

I have this movie, I picked it up from a 3.00 bin at my local store. Well, I paid 3.00 too much for it as far as I'm concerned. It's packed with nonsense talking, no action, a FRIGGEN DEMON baby goes around with this cry that goes on FOREVER, and is completely redundant. I mean, I was so sick of that cry I wanted to shoot my ears off. This movie was SO BAD I'd say it deserves a ZERO. SOOO BAD!! NOt one good thing about it, not even the ugly girl in the shower.

Bad acting, endless loops of the same scenes, dumb action, and -- this is the worst -- crappy special effects.
A white haired indian spends the first 10 minutes of the film walking across the desert. The action is thrilling, yawn, beyond measure. The acting, even more so. He puts "something" in the burial ground all the while being menaced by an incredibly bad not-the-least-bit-special effect. Then he staggers off the release a couple of demon eggs and bring about the end of the world. It's at this point one begins to wonder if that might not be a good thing. Enter an RV full of expendibles plus an annoying old man. In a huge empty desert they still manage to run over the indian. Ah, this may be the highlight of the story! Anyway, one of the expendibles brings an egg into the RV, it hatches (SHADES OF ALIEN!!) and promptly goes for an expendible throat in a way that make you wish this were real. Trust me on this one, a third graders school play would have had better, more realistic, action than this. It meanders on until everyone watching is throwing popcorn at the television and yelling at the charactors. You'll notice I didn't say "actors". That's because there aren't any in this thing. I'd go on with the story line but what's the point? Pass this one by. Please. |
