This is a great cable for such a low price.
Pin outputs are different for iPad, Camcorder etc.
I am using the 3.5 mm jack cable for iPad VocaLive with my own mic without buying iRig, it works great.

The Pinouts are Pin 1 ( Tip pin ) goes to the White RCA Jack ( Audio Left out for iPad)
Pin 2 ( 2nd pin ) goes to the Yellow RCA Jack ( Audio Right out for iPad)
Pin 3 ( 3rd pin ) Ground pin for Audio and Video.
Pin 4 ( pin next to Black Plastic) goes to the Red RCA ( Mic in for iPad)

But Different Camcorders uses different pins, look for the web sites that explains the pins,
then hoop up your equipments properly.

Works for TV Out function on Samsung Galaxy S 4G (T-Mobile) phone, except:
Connect RED to YELLOW (Video)
Connect YELLOW to RED (Audio/Right)
Connect WHITE to WHITE (Audio/Left)

Also, must enable TV Out on phone:
Menu>Settings>Display>TV out
(need to check this after reboot: phone will not keep the setting)

Pin out of cable: (tip) <1|2|3|4]=====
1: WHITE (Left Audio on SGS4G - typ. white)
2: YELLOW (Right Audio on SGS4G - typ. red)
3: Ground
4: RED (Composite Video on SGS4G - typ. yellow)

Note: I believe it should also work with:
- Microsoft Zune
- Old iPods w/ composite video out of 3.5mm headphone
(will NOT work with new iTouch or iPhone! Get AmazonBasics Composite AV Cable for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod (6.5 Feet/2.0 Meters) instead)

Depending on device, may need to swap colors to get it to work (see pinouts.ru for various 3.5mm to RCA cables)

I bought this item after reading reviewers say this product works with their Roku device. After connecting, the only thing I get is a buzzing sound, the pin outs on the 3.5mm connector do not match what Roku uses for Video/Stereo L&R.

I ordered this based on previous reviews that made it sound like it would work with my Roku player. It arrived on time but it did not work with my Roku. I tried every combination of colors as it was suggested in other reviews to get it to work you had to change the colors around. I sent it back and ordered a cable direct from Roku instead.

The cable was as it was described. I ordered it for connecting our iphone to the sound system of the car for playing music. It worked great and the price was even better.

The good news is that I received the Steren 6 Feet 3.5 mm to 3 RCA AV Camcorder Video Cable Sony JVC 6 quickly and that it looked like a well made product. I bought it specifically to work with an Audiovox DS9521PK portable DVD player but it didn't work. By connecting the red to the Yellow on the TV I was able to get some semblance of a picture on the TV but that was it. I had 2 other of these types of cables (one from a JVC camcorder and from a different Audiovox portable DVD player) and I could get no picture on the TV with either of them so I guess I can't be too disappointed with this cable. I ended up ordering the cable I needed directly from Audiovox and it worked perfectly. I didn't send this one back as it would cost more to send it back than it cost me to begin with.

I wasn't expecting much other than get video and audio out of my ipod classic and connect it to my TV. No big deal right? Afterall, this is old and simple technology....Wrong. First, I used the red as the video and the yellow and white for audio because it is wired "wrong" Now that is set up "right" the wired has to be pushed in or bent in a funky position to get video. Now there is video, and the video is horrible. The colors are so faded it almost looks black and white, and the sharpness is non existent. The $30 one I had before is 5000 times better. I guess you do get what you pay for.

I bought 6 of these cables to provide input from a distribution amplifier to use with Orei P901 multi-format DVD players. They didn't work. Had to resort to using other cables that did. Be careful when ordering for connection to your DVD player. There seems to be more than one standard in use and there's no way of knowing without trying them first. Luckily they were cheap, but its still bothersome... I suppose they work with some equipment, but who knows what?

Okay so this a/v cable i had issues with...the functionality of it is just fine but when i recieved it i couldnt get video until i realized that they actually mislabeled the color code and my red wire was not audio right but it was my video cable...but hey it was cheap and it works just fine so as long as u dont mind pluggin ur red wire into the video slot great product lol. not a big deal...low production cost i guess. wprk as it should.

Ordered for my parents since they lost their AV cable to their camcorder. I had my doubts because of how cheap it was but I was amazed on how well it works. Although I think I had a weird defected on because the Y went with Y, but the R went to W, and the W went to R. Took me awhile to get it to work since the colors were mismatched but at the end the only thing that matters is that it works!
