This cable does not seem to be sheilded, as I found out the other day when my wife was using the vacuum cleaner the screen went blank every time she came near the area I was in. I would have not even known that if she was not using it. Other than that the cable performs well and picture quality is good.

So just do not vacuum while using the wii.

I could see a marked difference in picture quality on my HDTV with this cable. Both playing games and watching netflix movies on the WII!

Used this cable to connect a Wii to my HD TV.

Not much to say. The quality feels right, and the signal got through without issue. The cable works as advertised.

Having just the regular RCA connection to an HDTV just isn't good enough. You need component cables to bring the colors out and reduce the blurring of colors. This cable does the job and works perfectly for me. Now if you are trying to hook it up to both a TV and audio system the length of the individual cords past the splitter isn't very long. But since I run my surround sound through my TV its not an issue. I can't imagine paying $30 for the Nintendo branded cord at a retail store when this does the same job at a fraction of the price.

The Switch from composite to component was not much of a difference. Change the setting in the Wii Menu and the screen was brighter and has more of a vivid color ,also, the gameplay graphic are slightly btter

This cable is as advertised. It does work and make the appropriate connections. Definitely worth the $10 or so I spent (with shipping).
It does not include any instructions, the colors don't quite match what I would call the "standard" component colors. There is nothing printed on the end of the cables either. Definitely not a very well made item but it does make an improvement in the picture quality and I'm very gentle with my A/V cables so I'm sure it will last awhile in my house.

Best cable, so glad i bought it, when I plugged it in, it looked worse ,but then I went to the screen settings on the options menu and i changed everything and then it looked awesome.

This item provided me no improvement over the use of a standard connection, but did allow for an easier connection overall with my sound system. If you are expecting an big difference in how it looks on your TV - don't.

I am really glad i bought this cord! My tv only had one set of composite imputs, buying the component cables allowed for me to easily swtich between equipment on my tv.

man this thing works great so far. havent had a prob with it since day one and it actually makes my games look better on tv than the nintendo one that comes with the wii
