We were trying to connect our sound bar to the new tv, and it just wasn't happening. Learned we needed this cable, ordered it, hooked it up (it was a snap - literally), and VOILA!

February 11, 2011. Unlike the more expensive, 3-foot optical audio cables I returned to my local Fry's Electronics Store in southern CA, these 6-foot optical audio cables fit my equipments' optical receptacles solidly and remain connected with no sense of looseness. The finger-shank mounted at each end swivels and helps proper seating of the cable in both devices. The outer shield of the cable is attractive and substantial. The protective cover-sheaths at each end are attached to the cable and can't be misplaced. The price is right and the quality is outstanding. Audio performance is superior. If Free Super Saver Shipping were available, I would have purchased several more of these cables. As it is, the shipping cost exceeds the cost of the cable. Still, I am pleased with my purchase.

This cable is actually better than I needed. It has a durable cover to keep it from crimping or getting damaged and sounds great compared to composite sound.

like the title says this is Pretty Solid and strong so it will last you, and the sounds that i receive from it are good, well GREAT actually. this is the first Optical cable/Tosslink that i am using so i cannot say much about it compared to others, but i will say that my audio does sound A GREAT DEAL/HECK OF A LOT better than when hooked up to my sound system direct.

It fit into the connections well. It was supposedly the best choice for hooking up the sound bar. The sound through the wire sounds good to me.

This cable worked great, hooked it up to my computer motherboard digital out and to a Philips sound system.
Other reviewers who gave 1 star should have looked at the picture better. On both occasions you could see that the cable they we're looking at is not what they want. Just pay attention and don't buy the wrong thing.

I know from Optical Audio Cable, and I'm a Rock-Star from Mars. Optical and audio don't sound to me like they should be in the same sentence.

In any event the AUDIO from this cable is awesome. And the price was right.

WOW! What a great price for the quality of this cable! I went to Radio Shack and a similar cable was almost $30! The cable was shipped promptly, packaged very carefully, and I love the protectors for the connectors. The sound is crystal clear and pure. Thank you!

it will not stay plug in it must be flawed i will rate as a 1 star i need tape to hold it in the socket./
