"7 Days In Havana" is the soundtrack to the Spanish movie of the same name set during a week in Havana. It is choc full of Cuban music, which I love.

Opening the album is "La Rumba No Se Aprende A Tocar En 7 Dias" by Descemer Bueno, rich in percussion, horns and jazzy piano. Me Diste En El Corazon" is an enchanting lilting horn-peppered song also by Descemer Bueno who performs 14 songs in total including the tender ballad "14 Dias" as well as other groovy songs to make you dance like "Al Son De La Panatela", "La Casa Por La Panatela", "Ochu Ibu Cole" and "Quendate".

Other standouts are the tender guitar instrumental "Echale Salsita" by Ignacio Pineiro, the ethereal instrumental "Seductora Beni" by Omar Hernandez, the rousing "A Ella Le Duele" by Kelvis Ochoa (replete with call and response chants), and the more modern sounding electronic "Kulanike" by Omar Hernandez. "Razones De Sobra" by Alexander Abreu is a lively instrumental jam session with a lovely horn coda. "Ay Amor 2", "La Barca", "Ay Amor 3" and "No Me Dejes" are tender piano ballads by Melvis Estevez.

A beautiful and colourful collection that makes you fall in love with, and want to visit Havana.
