Just like a car, you too need regular tune-ups and oil changes. Writing in a journal is like a personal tune-up and oil change. You get in touch with your inner self; you have the ability to look at yourself and change what you don't like. Writing down your deepest thoughts and emotions can clear your mind, boost your confidence, and help you find yourself.
There is no corect way to keep a journal. Feel free to paste in mementos, ticket stubs, love notes, and anything else that will preserve a memory. My old journals are full of secrets, poor art, and bad poetry. I know a young woman who writes down daily just one thing she is grateful for that particular day. It helps her to keep in touch with what is important.
So take time to start journaling here and now. You need time out to rejuvenate the best thing you've got going for yourself--you! You need time to relax and unstring your bow, time to treat yourself to a little tender loving care. This is what this journal is all about--YOU! Happy journaling!
