5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD By The Club!
Hey this is a GREAT CD! IF you loved SClub's first album then you'll love the slicker beats, more soulful harmonies and a wide variety of styles and sounds from the SClub7. However...there are two versions, a N.American Version [which I have] and the British version. If you get the N.A. version it doesn't have two of the songs and instead has a remix [hardly] of Two...

1.0 out of 5 stars Unison Singing At It's Best!!!
Yes, they have a new album!
I was absolutely thrilled when I found out from this wonderful website that S Club 7 is BACK! Day by day, I waited for the release of the album in Singapore. Great hits like "Never had a dream come true", "Two in a million" and the ever so irritatingly uplifting song "Reach" were all in this album. Then, one...

Hey this is a GREAT CD! IF you loved SClub's first album then you'll love the slicker beats, more soulful harmonies and a wide variety of styles and sounds from the SClub7. However...there are two versions, a N.American Version [which I have] and the British version. If you get the N.A. version it doesn't have two of the songs and instead has a remix [hardly] of Two In A Million. But I've downloaded the other songs so I'll mention them...

1.Reach: The 1st single in the uk, reach is a poppy tune with dreamy lyrics and backing tune that reminds of mario party! Its a cool song to sing along to!

2.Natural: this song has an arabian beat to it and the video is set on the beach its really nice. Rachel sings the leads and her voice sounds incredible.

3.I'll Keep Waiting: Bradley sort of raps/sings on this track with a real choir sounding chorus with a cool harmony and beat.

4.Bring The House Down: This reminds me of "Your My #1" and "Everybody Wants You" a motown/disco track that makes you energized to party!

5.Best Friend: Bradley wrote this one and sang it. The lyrics are really meaningful but it would've been nice if the other guys had sang to, like with "Change The World"

6.All In Love Is Fair: This is a cool track that is really enjoyable to listen to but the fact that Jo is like "Get Your A** Over Here" sort of makes the song less romantic. Still its a nice track.

7.Love Train: Similar to "Bring the House Down" Paul sings on this one and its a stomper of a tune to disco and dance to!

8.Cross My Heart: this song reminds me of Steps "Deeper Shade of Blue" in the beginning but its really not much like it. Its a cool song to listen to with a catchy chorus and if released a good hit!

9.The Colour of Blue: one of my faves, this song is sort of more folk/alternative/pop...its similar to a song you'd here by Aimee Mann, Kim Stockwood...power pop folk. Its sooo catchy and Jo does an awesome job. "The Color Of Blue...Reminds Me Of You!"

10.I'll Be There: Tina's the lead in this song and its my other fave. Its so catchy to learn the words and the chorus is nice and airy. I like the parts when Jo sings with Tina and I just like the whispering/singing Tina does.

11.Two In A Million [birthdays and boyfriends mix]: This is hardly a remix at all, in fact pretty much it isn't. Its a ... way to cut off two tracks from the UK version of the album!

11.[UK VERSION] Stand By You: Tina and Hannah duet on this one and its just a little poppy tune that is fun to dance to!

12. [UK VERSION] Spiritual Love: using the word "Natural" more then track 2, this song is very nice to slow dance to and its the kind of song you'd seen in a movie soundtrack cuz its so sweet!

Hope You LIke This Album As Much As I DID!

4.0 out of 5 stars '7' Rocks, June 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 7 + 1 (Audio CD)
The latest release by the newest British invasion , the S club 7 , tops their first by a landslide. In this new ablum , the 7 have grown up. The album is more mature musically and lyrically. Instead of the 'perky' attitude from their previous album, the 7 explore different emotions and styles of music. The first track of the cd "Reach" is much like they're previous album but the album is more balanced in the way that each S club member gets at least one solo. Songs like " Bring the house down" make you wanna get up and dance but others such as " All in love is fair" take a more serious tone.Overall the album is a complete success and will open up the S club 7 to wider , more mature audience.

S Club 7 are a talented band with great songs. My rundown of the tracks.

1. Reach This is the main single of the album. It's very poppy and makes me want to dance. 5/5

3. I'll Keep Waiting This is nice, but a bit boring. 4/5

4. Bring The House Down Cool song, very happy and party-like. 5/5

5. Best Friend You should listen to this song, it has a good message in it. Nice singing in this by the guys. 5/5

7. Love Train Hee hee, this is a funny and cool song. 5/5

8. Cross My Heart Probably the worst song on the album, pretty normal 3/5

9. The Colour Of Blue Pretty cool, great singing S Club! 4/5

Wow! I love this CD so much! It's all I listen to. I would suggest that you buy the UK version because it has all the songs. 1. Reach -- the main song on the album and it is very up-beat and fun to dance to. 2. Natural -- the 2nd single on the album. Rachel sings it and it is v cool. 3. I'll Keep Waiting -- a very soulful song. if you like bradley's voice, you'll love this song! 4. Bring The House Down -- an awesome party song! 5. Best Friend -- good song 6. All In Love Is Fair -- a great soulful song. the only bad thing is that it reminds you of x-boyfriends. 7. Love Train -- an awesome dance song! paul sings it. 8. Cross My Heart -- an ok song. 9. The Colour Of Blue -- a funky song. its like austin powers. a good song! 10. I'll Be There -- a really great song! it's a little slow and tina sings it! you'll love it! 11. Stand By You -- the absolute best song! its a duet with hannah and tina. it's awesome because you finally get to hear hannah because she doesn't have many solos on other songs. a really GREAT pop song! it'll make you smile! 12. Spiritual Love -- great soulful song 13. Lately -- nice soulful song. it's a stevie wonder song. 14. Never Had A Dream Come True -- a really awesome song! you'll love it! kinda slow but it's awesome! 5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful CD -- A Must Buy, September 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 7 + 1 (Audio CD)
THIS CD JUST ABSOLUTELY ROCKS. LIKE SOME OF THE REVIEWS WHICH WERE PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED, I AGREE THAT THIS CD OVERALL IS FAR SUPERIOR TO THEIR FIRST, ALTHOUGH THIS ONE PROBABLY WILL NOT PRODUCE AS MANY SINGLES AS THE FIRST. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO WANTS THIS CD TO BUY THE UK VERSION. IF YOU BUY THE AMERICAN VERSION, YOU WILL BE ROBBED OF TWO WONDERFUL SONGS, ENTITLED "STAND BY YOU" AND "SPIRITUAL LOVE". I WILL ALSO ADMIT THAT I AM IN MY LATE 20's, WHICH I SUPPOSE TO SOME OF YOU MIGHT SEEM OLD FOR SOMEONE TO LIKE THIS CD. BUT LET ME TELL YOU THAT THIS TYPE OF MUSIC SURE BEATS THE HELL OUT OF GANGSTA' RAP AND HEAVY METAL AND I RATHER ENJOY IT! YES, THERE ARE SOME TRACKS WHICH HAVE RAP SOUNDS TO THEM, BUT THEY ARE TASTEFULLY AND SKILLFULLY PERFORMED! TIME TO BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU SONG BY SONG! (SCALE : 5 -- EXCELLENT TO 1 -- POOR)

1. "REACH" (5/5) -- THEIR FIRST SINGLE OF THE ALBUM AND IT IS QUITE THE POP TUNE. EVERYONE REALLY SOUNDS GREAT. THE SONG MADE IT TO #2 ON THE BRITISH POP CHARTS AND REMAINED THERE FOR THREE WEEKS.

2. "NATURAL" (5/5) -- I'LL GO OUT ON A LIMB AND PREDICT THAT THIS WILL BE THE CLUB'S SECOND OVERALL #1 SINGLE (I CERTAINLY HOPE SO). IT IS THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM AND RACH SOUNDS BRILL!

3. "I'LL KEEP WAITING" (4.5/5) -- BRADLEY SOUNDS GOOD BUT I INITIALLY THOUGHT THIS SONG WAS KIND OF BORING. BUT IT KIND OF GROWS ON YOU AND YOU WILL ENJOY IT THE MORE YOU LISTEN TO IT.

4. "BRING THE HOUSE DOWN" (5/5) -- LET'S PARRRRRRRRRRRRRRTY! JO HAS LEADS ONCE AGAIN AND IF I WERE BUTTER, I WOULD BE MELTED BY HER VOICE!

5. "BEST FRIEND" (5/5) -- WRITTEN BY BRAD, THIS SONG IS ONE THAT NICELY DEMONSTRATES THE MATURITY IN THE S's MUSIC. GREAT TRACK!

6. "ALL IN LOVE IS FAIR" (4/5) -- CERTAINLY A DIVERSION FROM THE NORMAL PERKINESS OF THE S. PRETTY GOOD TRACK, BUT NOT MY FAV. HOPEFULLY IT WILL GROW ON ME LIKE #3. JO HAS LEADS IN THIS SONG AND SHE SOUNDS TOUGH! (WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? BUY THE CD AND YOU'LL UNDERSTAND!)

7. "LOVE TRAIN" (5/5) -- PAUL SHOWS THAT DISCO DIDN'T NECESSARILY DIE IN THE 70's. A WONDERFUL PARTY TUNE.

8. "CROSS MY HEART" (4.5/5) -- JO HAS LEAD VOCALS. PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD SONG THAT SOUNDS GOOD. I LIKE IT FINE BUT IT DOESN'T REALLY STAND OUT LIKE SOME OF THE OTHERS.

9. "THE COLOUR OF BLUE" (5/5) -- JO SOUNDS REALLY NICE IN THIS SONG. THIS IS THE TYPE OF SONG WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE OF ITS SIMPLICITY, AND I THOROUGHLY ENJOY LISTENING TO IT.

10. "I'LL BE THERE" (5/5) -- THE LEAD VOCALS OF THIS SONG BELONG TO MY FAVOURITE MEMBER OF SC7 (TINA) AND SHE SOUNDS FABULOUS. THIS IS MY SECOND FAV ON THE ALBUM BEHIND #2. THE SONG HAS A COMFORTING FEEL TO IT AND IS QUITE APPROPRIATELY TITLED.

11. "STAND BY YOU" (5/5) -- YOU MUST HAVE THIS TRACK. BUY THE UK ALBUM, PLEASE! THIS SONG FEATURES TINA AND HANNAH IN A DUET AND THEY ARE TERRIFIC. THIS SONG HAS A SIMPLE, YET FUN DANCE FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SEEN THE "FALL OUT" EPISODE OF LA 7.

12. "SPIRITUAL LOVE" (5/5) -- LEAD SINGERS ARE BRADLEY AND JO, AND THEY ARE AGAIN MAGNIFICENT. THIS SONG HAS WONDERFUL BACKGROUND VOCALS BY THE OTHER 5 MEMBERS IF THE S, TOO. HAVE I MENTIONED ALREADY THAT THIS IS ONLY ON THE UK VERSION?!!

I AM THE PROOF THAT THE S HAS DIVERSIFIED THEIR LISTENING AUDIENCE. HOPEFULLY, THEY WILL BECOME MORE POPULAR IN THE U.S. THEY ARE THAT GOOD! GREAT JOB, GUYS!

4.0 out of 5 stars Rare in the US, December 4, 2004
This review is from: 7 (Audio CD)
I bought this cd, for the fact of the 3 unreleased tracks, that were not on the Us Version of the cd. Tina and Hannah do amazing on "Stand By You" its one of the only songs where you hear Tina's voice anymore! I recommend this cd and Sunshine (And Dont Stop Moving if you want more unreleased tracks) Don't stop moving is a Payback CD to me, it seems that Sclub wanted to show Paul, that he wouldn't stop them, (As in showing him to feel good for leaving the band) the cd has alot of the Sunshine album songs on it, it seems that they wanted to pay him back good.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorites, July 13, 2005
This review is from: 7 (Audio CD)
I originaly got the U.S. version of this album, but was excited to find a British copy, not to mention the re-release with "Never Had a Dream Come True," one of the best songs on the album. This is definately a fun cd to listen to. Many of the songs are incredibly upbeat, such as the lead song, "Reach," and "Love Train." Other songs are slower, such as "The Colour of Blue," with a medium tempo, and many others are slow, like "Lately" and "Never Had a Dream Come True." Most of the songs have to same lyrical content, love in some form, though a few have different subjects. "Reach" is a positive song about about accompishing your dreams, and "Best Friend" is about, well, your best friend.

Many people criticize S Club 7 by saying their lyrics are cheesy and not deep. Those people have missed the entire point of a group such as this. That point is the fun. It was fun for them to make, not to metion fun for fans to listen to. This is music you can dance to, that you can have a good time listening to, not to take seriously.

Truly one of the best pop cds I have, and one of my favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is on REPEAT!, March 17, 2001

That's Right, I've Been Playing This CD ON CONSTANT REPEAT since I bought it. It's SO great! It blows the equally great debut out of the water!

(Track reviews. 1 is worst. 5 is best.)

Reach- 4.7 - This song is wonderful. It's filled with a positive message. Jon and Paul's solos are excellent from two not normally featured S Clubbers, and Jo's and Brad's a great as well. A Kickin' dance tune.

Natural- 4.8 - The first time I heard this song I was like.. whoa! It's a VERY sweet and great song with Rachel taking the lead vocals. It kicks booty!

I'll Keep Waiting- 4.4 - This song is awesome. Everyone can relate to it and Brad does a great job on the rap.

Bring The House Down- 4.7 - That's what this rockin' song will do. Jo's sassy vocals make you want to "raise the roof and get on the floor". One of my faves.

Best Friend- 4.7 - With the lead going Brad and the back-ups to Jon and Paul, the guys prove once again, just like on "Gonna Change The World" that they can have good songs too. You'll definately relate.

All In Love Is Fair- 5.0 - This song can make you cry if you're having guy trouble (it's a song for the ladies). Jo takes lead and Brad does a rap at the end. One of my "fab four" from the album.

Love Train- 4.4 - A very funky positive song with lead vocals by Paul. A good dance song.

Cross My Heart- 5.0- I LOVE this song. Jo takes the vocals on this song (Jo's my fave girl S Clubber Jon's my fave guy, hehe). When you've lost a guy/girl or you're losing one, this song brings back memories. One of my "fab four"

The Colour Of Blue- 4.7- Jo does a great job on this song singing about a guy who's a true blue guy. A great song for the beginning of a romance.

I'll Be There- 5.0- Tina works her vocal magic on this song. I fell in love with it when I saw "Into The Unknown". A terrific love song. Another of my "fab four".

Stand By You- 4.9- A song of devotion for your guy/girl. Hannah and Tina sing lead and it's an excellent song to listen to. I only wanna be with you... I only wanna be with you...

Spiritual Love- 4.6- Bradley does the rap on this song and Jo sings back-up. It's a great song proving that love isn't all about sex and physical things. It can be spiritual.

Lately- 4.6- Bradley actually SINGS! Ahh! The guys do back-up. It's a great song guys! You did it again!

Never Had A Dream Come True- 5.0- I absolutely love this song. Jo sings the most beautiful vocals ever. Definately my favorite track. It's a song about lost love. Everyone will enjoy the more mature S Club.

I hope you like it as much as I did!
