Definitely one for the ATB fan, new or old.,
By
This review is from: 7 Years (Audio CD)
You get 5 brand new tracks, 1 remake or an old track, and 14 singles which ATB has released over the past 7 years. I don't know which two imports Amazon is selling right now, but I have the original German release on Kontor, which comes with a Bonus DVD that has all his videos right up to the two new singles from this album, Believe in Me and Humanity. You also get photos, interviews, and the making of one of the videos.
Most of the videos were on his DVD he released in 2004, except Long Way Home, which you could only get on that CD single; Marrakech, which was on the import No Silence limited edition set; and Ecstasy, which was on the US No Silence. You won't get the DVD to play on your normal player, but maybe in your computer. If you are looking for a complete set of videos, and can play this PAL formatted DVD, this makes the set even more attractive. There's also an alternate version of the Believe in Me video. The first of the new singles is Believe in Me, sung by 4 Strings member Jan Loechel. It's a nice club/dance track, but I prefer the peppier versions on the CD single over the album version. The new Tiff Lacey voiced track, Humanity, is excellent, and while I haven't heard the remixes, the album version works just fine. It's a breakbeat/trance blend that Tiff sings her heart out on. Jan Leochel also sings an updated version of Let U Go, which I liked. It's a slower paced version that refreshes the song nicely. The 14 "best of" tracks are all his single releases, and they are all either radio edits or album versions. The radio edit of the new vocal remix of In Love With the DJ hasn't been on any other album, and the Here With Me radio edit was an internet exclusive, so even in the collection of past hits, there are some new perks. Over the past 7 years, no trance DJ/producer has been more prolific in releasing high quality vocal trance, instrumental trance, artist albums, and mix CD's than ATB. If you are a new fan, I would highly recommend this, just don't pass up some of is albums, thinking you are getting everything here, because you will miss out on a lot of great music (like one of my favorite instrumental trance tunes of all time -- Mysterious Skies off No Silence). Only his radio play releases are here. If you are a regular ATB fan, I am sure you are going to purchase this anyway!

7 year efforts to be on top ten of the whole world!!,
This review is from: 7 Years (Audio CD)
after the great success of "No Silence" Andere has brought us his 7 year efforts...his efforts that made him 10th on the top of best DJs in the world....lets cut the talk and go to the songs.....
actually there are only 5 new songs and 2 new remixes..... all the songs are clean and radio cut versions (No extended versions and no nature voices) 01 - Humanity : the album starts with Humanity (the second single of this album)..this song is a real new sound from ATB....the rhythmn is something like Funk(Im not sure!) but hey dont worry it has those "No Silence" trance strings.....Tiff Lacy has did the vocals (the one who sang "Marrakech & Ecstasy & Here With Me in the former album)...the song is so touchy.... 02 - Let U Go (Reworked 2005) : yea...but its not upbeat like the original version....its the nice downbeat more relaxing version....the pitty is Roberta Carter Harrison (who did the vocals on the original version) hasnt done the vocals.... Jan Loechel (who did the vocals on the former single of this album "Believe in Me") did the vocals...I have no idea why Roberta herself didnt sing this song!!?..... 03- Believe in Me : the former single of this album .....nice house-oriented song with trance influences (from the melody side)...as I said before Jan Loechel (he is a composer himself...he did some 4 Strings songs vocals either)....as the matter of fact I dont think this song had the potential for realeasing as a single.... 04- Trilogie Part 2 : this the second sequal of Trilogy song from Addicted 2 Music album.....I was really eager to hear more of Trilogy and now my dream came true....hehe...this songs is a Classic....really awesome piano melodies you can die for...... 05- Take Me Over : this song reminds me the "Collides With Beauty" song from former album "No Silence"...I dont know who did the vocals but she has done it perfect.... 06- Far Beyond : this is somehow new...the rhythmn line is so fresh..Andere hasnt used such Rhythmn instruments before......the melody line is somehow similar to "Intencity" song from "No Silence"...... 07- Here With Me (Single Edit) : yes..Here With Me has also released as a single but only on the internet.....and now the Single edit is on the disc..... other songs were released before....but there're all clean versions.....Long Way Home is the video version...and "In Love With The Dj" is also short radio version.....its only 3:40.... the last words : I like the album after all but I really missed "Roberta Carter Harrison"'s vocals on this album...sure the future is for ATB....if he will continue keep updating his tunes (like he has done for each album) he will catch the top 5 of the best Dj's in the world.... But dont forget first of all he is a great dreamer then he is a DJ.........his Dream songs has proved what Im saying....so come on buy this great product....you'll never regret it....you'll be thankful for every penny you spent....
