I totally agree with the review above (with the exception of the thoughts on version two of On the Avenue...I only have the 7" which has three songs). I especially agree on the thoughts about people only buying this because of Billie Joe. Aaron writes some of the best lyrics, and as a whole the band writes some of the catchiest pop/punk this side of 1987!

This is a great return from a great band. While the recordings sound a bit muddy (even for Pinhead Gunpowder), the songs are great. It's pretty cool to get two version of On The Ave. as well. You can tell the songs were recorded analong... which is always a plus. All around, great release.
PS! I hope you're not just buying this because of Billie Joe.. some of PHGP's best songs are the ones Jason or Mike sing. Okay... bye bye. |
