I bought one of these at Walmart and it worked fine for a few months, but then it began to randomly reset itself. Not to the current time, but to completely random times. For example, last night (July 20, 2013) the clock randomly reset itself 4 hours ahead and the date read December 5, 2038. The alarm woke me up at 3:00 AM instead of the 7:30 I had it set for. It has done similar resets in the past. I tried new batteries, but it still happens. This clock cannot be depended upon.

This little clock sits on the school bus I drive and lets me know what time it is, even on dark mornings. Best of all, it has survived multiple falls and still runs.

Not too much complexity about this unit, basically you put in the batteries and to setup, let it grab the atomic signal to set the time. If it is off, you have to go into setup to set the time zone region and also turn on/off the DST.
The issue with this unit is it has no built in time or calendar, it is totally reliant on the atomic signal. Example, when we all moved forward on DST, the clock did not until I moved it to a window to get the atomic signal. Also, on 4-13, it stuck on that date until I moved it to get the atomic signal.
It is very weak on the atomic signal. If you have any kind of wireless device around, it will block the signal to the clock. You can hit the wave/down button on back to force it to start searching for the signal.
I have the 70026 model. The 70026A does away with the tenth of degree reading and only reads in whole degree increments. Also the date format on mine is 5/2 whereas the newer units are 5-2.
The thermometer reads about a degree on the high side, I suppose accurate enough given the purpose of this clock.
So long as you don't expect scientific accuracy, this unit will suffice.

I bought this clock for the sole purpose to use at my job, where use of personal cell phones are restricted to using on our breaks. So I don't use the alarm feature. I am constantly having stay ON time and also write the date, which is why this atomic clock is so useful to me.

Pros:
Large display to read time from far away
Accurate time (crucial for my job)
Shows the date
Shows the day of the week (mon, tue, wed, etc)
Shows temperature

Cons:
When I move the unit, it is easy to accidentally press the button activate the alarm clock, so it has gone off a few times when I have not wanted it to.

I have used this for about 4 months now with no problems. I feel like if I used this at home I would love it as an alarm clock as well. I'm not the "snooze" type of person- I get up when my alarm goes off every single time. So I would have no use for the snooze button.

I recommend this product to anyone needing an accurate atomic clock with a few extra features (temperature, date, day of the week, alarm clock).

This clock from day one has not worked correctly. The time zone changes on its own. the date is always wrong and the times AM PM is incorrect. The temperature work ok (I Think?). I sent an email to Westclox service, they are worse then the clock. They ask me if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I told them if they have not been having on going problems with this clock a replacement would be fine, They then ask me for a invoice number, I gave them the Amazon transaction number, they reported they could not find a copy of the invoice, If I had a copy of the invoice to pack the clock up and send it posted paid to one of their warranty station for repair only if I had the invoice, I guess they think I stole, found or the clock just appeared out of thin air. I did not need the exercise jumping though their hoops so just told them to for get it. Too much trouble over a small clock I'll look elsewhere for a clock other then Westclox

The several other Atomic Clocks I have owned were quite large, this one is just the right size for my use. It's hard to find one that will display seconds as well as hour and minutes, this clock does. The settings are straight forward and easy to use. The thermometer works great and appears to be quite accurate. The clock can be set to display 12 or 24 hour time, temperature in degrees F or C. I've had it for six months and it works perfectly. I think this clock is an excellent value, certainly the best Atomic Clock I've seen or used.
