With plenty of power for fast stock removal, and key features for smooth planing, this 20-inch planer from JET is the machine professional woodworkers have come to count on for ultra-smooth surfaces. A 5 hp motor keeps the cutter head spinning at 20,000 rpm for unbelievably fast and clean planing. Four high-speed steel knives easily keep up with the both of the planer's feed speeds (24- and 31-feet-per-minute). This machine also features a cast iron table, base, and head, and a positive gear drive. Built in table rollers and anti-kickback fingers prevent marring of the workpiece. The table surface is precision-ground and polished for ultra-smooth feeds. A 5-inch dust port means a cleaner work environment and better workpiece visibility.
