I am not an Engineer, but this unit appears to have two major problems. First, to collect fine dust from room air, it seems the less turbulence in the air the more efficient the unit. The air should flow directly from the dust source to the fiter. The discharge from this unit when at high speed, can be felt 20-25 feet away. This creates tremendous air turbulence and reduces its ability to suck dust-filled air from all parts of the room. The discharge air from the unit should have been better distributed back into the room. I added a plastic sheet deflector to redirect the air 90 degrees to each side and 90 degrees the ceiling rafters, and it works better.

Secondly, the remote control sensor for the air filter is mounted on the discharge end of the unit. Think about it. If you mount the filter at the end of your workshop to suck the air all in one direction, you would then want the intake to be facing the center of the workshop. If you do that, you will then have to walk to the other end of the unit in order to use the remote control. I think the sensor is infra-red, and it must be aimed exactly at the target. This is backward. It should be mounted on the intake side.

The unit is relativly quiet, and it does remove a considerable amount of dust from the air.

Good unit. I have a 30 x 40 shop and it clears the air pretty quickly. If you are tired of breathing all the fine sawdust in your shop, this is the ticket. It doesn't get 100%, but is better than nothing. I no longer spend nights in bed coughing because of the dust. Works great in conjunction with my Jet dust collector.

This unit has some power. I agree with a previous reviewer that that remote sensor should have been put on the other end of the unit. Also that air really shoots out the unit, but this is a plus for me as I have my unit hanging right over a window and open the window so the small dust that it does not filter goes right outside.

Units work great, but one of them came with the mounting bolts for the fan motor mount missing, so when we started it up, it knocked the fan out of balance. The company sent us a new fan overnight.

Product came damaged 3 times from poor packing, & mis-handled in shipping. Finally got refund.
