3.0 out of 5 stars Somebody PLEASE PLEASE list the actual SONGS and running time
As many others have noted for volume 1, 2, & 3 of this DVD series, not a single one of these 3 DVDs has a running time, a list of which songs or played, or even which "group" plays. I understand that many original members are departed/dead (such as Harold Melvin, R.I.P., from the Blue Notes), but without SOMETHING specific, I'm just not buying. I've seen the show LIVE...

This review is from: The '70s Soul Jam, Volume Three (DVD)
As many others have noted for volume 1, 2, & 3 of this DVD series, not a single one of these 3 DVDs has a running time, a list of which songs or played, or even which "group" plays. I understand that many original members are departed/dead (such as Harold Melvin, R.I.P., from the Blue Notes), but without SOMETHING specific, I'm just not buying. I've seen the show LIVE twice, and thought that, newer/younger members notwithstanding, the Stylistics, Delfonics and Chi-lites sounded just fine, given that the original members have been around some 30+ years by now. I also HOPE that bellowing buffoon J.J.Walker, present at both live shows (Humphrey's in San Diego, and the Greek in Hollywood just recently) has been deleted from the DVD, if not from all future shows. I have no idea who thought an abrasive yelling "comic" (I'll concede he is occasionally funny) would be the appropriate mood setter for some beautiful smooth 70's soulful love songs, but he is NOT the right choice, by far. Again, anybody who bought any of these DVDs, PLEASE do us a favor and let us know running times & song titles. Thanks.
