72 Balsam Logs - Paine's Fir Balsam Incense

Long and short: if you're looking for that xmas scent, look no further. This is what I wanted for the holidays and it delivered. Woot.

I have been burning this incense for over 20 years and I have never gotten tired of it, its almost therapeutic for me. You have to burn the top of the incense, almost creating a ring of fire, once you have that going the incense will not burn out. It smells like a great campfire, wonderful anytime of the year, as well as getting that comforting winter feeling.

I don't know when this incense was made or how it was stored, but it appears extremely damp. When I light it the top outer edge lights and burns/smokes for less than a minute, then burns out. When I've burned the edge & complete top, usually taking over 30 seconds to completely light, the incense sometimes burns/smokes for a couple minutes. I've yet to be able to get any of these mini logs to burn longer than 3 minute.

I absolutely love this incense! It puts me in a wonderful mood. Ill burn one of these, drink some coffee and play video games or watch a movie. It has that smoky log scent that you have to acquire. its thicker then your usually logs so you need a torch lighter to get it going, it takes about 10 seconds or so. I even bought a little log cabin for it.

I bought these refills for the log cabin.
Problem is the incense will not fit into the hole
inside the log cabin.

Ordered the product because we have a log cabin burner for these "logs". The logs are too thick for our base, but we can sand them down a bit. There is no instruction as to how to start them, then they stop burning. This is a disappointment and we are unable to "fragrance" our home for the holidays. Would not recommend this product.

I am sure it is only a matter of preference, but we did not like the smell of these at all. It gave us a headache.
