This review is from: 1/72 Coast Guard Tug Boat (Toy)
While this style tug was not used by the Coast Guard the model is a good representation of a early 1940s harbor tug. My interest in it was because I have always like tug boats to the point of wondering what one would be like for a pleasure craft. Since that will probably not happen building a model is the next best thing. Therefore the fact that the Coast Guard didn't use this style is of no concern. I will assemble it as a retired civilian tug being used for pleasure. The kit is well designed with crisp moldings and little flash. Scale is real close to 1/72...the crew members are a bit tall (probably true out to around 7 feet). If you like early vessels this is a good bet.
