Nice large screen, hung it up in 10 minutes, smooth pull down and locking mechanism, love the black border around the edges... it really helps frame the picture and make it more dramatic. Rolls up easily and smoothly into a white professional looking metal enclosure. Ships in a long 6" x 6" x 8' box. Used amazon prime and 2 day shipping was free. Highly recommended.

My 96" screen arrived in excellent time, and was in perfect condition, even considering it's length.
Having already previously bought and installed the 6 foot wide model - I had this one out of the box, and up and installed in under fifteen minutes. I think one of the most important keys to a successful installation is that (because of its weight) the hooks or screws have to be solidly anchored ... no fudging there. I've installed both of mine on the upper framing woodwork of windows, and a set of french doors ... and the woodwork being enameled white, and with the white enameled wooden drapery rods .... the shape and the color of the screen's casing allows it to blend in like part of the architectural detailing of the wood trim. This will only work well, though - if the framing is of quality materials and construction ... and the drapery rods have to project away from the wall far enough that the drapes open and close easily. Also, I wouldn't try it on that cheep clam-shell variety of trim found in too many American homes. That stuff is made of the lowest quality and grade of wood they can get --- and most of it is "finger-joint" joined together these days. Some is even made of fiberboard. Anyway - if you want it to work right - install it right ... and be sure to measure (twice and carefully) the distance between the two hanging bracket holes and install the hooks or screws prior (not during) the actual hanging process. If there's anything which could be improved on; one thing I'd suggest to the manufacturer would be that they provide a gift-wrap ribbon like template with a hole punched in both ends ........ so that one could accurately and relatively effortlessly pre-drill the holes for the screws or hooks. I did my installation myself (alone) - so there was always that chance that the screws could have been off by a "smidge" ... resulting in a new hole having to be drilled. Of course with the weight and length of this 96" unit - IDEALLY, ONE SHOULD HAVE TWO PEOPLE - otherwise one risks personal injury or damage to the unit. A second thing I'D HIGHLY RECOMMEND would be to be consistent with the dimensions / measurements shown on the websites. For each screen offered, there should be a CONSISTENT (from one to the next) listing of all dimensions (View screen width, height, diagonal, and ratio PLUS the overall dimensions of the entire unit (for those who have a space. If a person has only a 96" space available ... one doesn't want the surprise of receiving a 96" viewable area width screen that has an Overall width of 102". Moving on ... the screen is solidly built as it can be ... and made of quality materials. Nowadays, one expects to get a tinny - flimsy metal casing on just about everything .......... but not here. I've only pulled it down twice so far, to make sure it worked ... but the lowering and raising mechanisms worked flawlessly, without even a hint of a problem. For myself, I like to sort of hold on to the handle with only a slight restraining pressure while it recoils ... rather than just "letting it fly" to recoil fast as it can (which seems would be kind of juvenile and stupid, in my estimation). So - if you're looking for a reasonably priced, well constructed, well made screen ... I think that this one might be the one for you. At this particular width, though - I would not want to keep in in the extended / down position for long periods of time for fear of the (albeit high quality) screening material's weight leading to slight distortion (from all that "pulling down" weight on the interior rod). Also - if you install it like I did, over a window; you need to be aware that the backside of the screen is black ... so one would not ever want to have it in the down position while sunshine was coming in at that window (because the black will absorb and magnify the heat of the incoming sun, and doubtless distort and irreparably damage the material of the screen). TO SUMMARIZE ... GREAT QUALITY, GREAT MATERIALS ... GREAT WORKSMANSHIP ... GREAT CONSTRUCTION ...... GREAT PRICE !!!!! WHAT MORE COULD ONE WANT. (Yes - I'm THAT HAPPY with it ... and no, I don't work for the company ... honest).

I am very satisfied with this screen. As others have noted in their reveiws, it does have a strong odor when you first use it. I left it "unrolled" for about two days and the smell gradually disappeared; now its fine. It pulls down and rolls up well. It has a good number of self-locking down positions, so you can unroll only as much of the screen as you need. For the price, I am very happy with it: it sure beats the white sheet I had hanging in front of the wall (which worked okay, albeit the light of the projector shined thru it, and it could not be rolled up). It comes with no mounting hardware, but I was going to utilize the compatible wall brackets also manufactured by Da-Lite. But the brackets are big, ugly, and plastic. I decided instead to hang mine from the ceiling on strong but small, white decorative chains running through the ceiling up into the attic. Not only do I trust the chains more than plastic brackets to hold the weight, but this arrangement also allowed me to hang the screen much closer to the ceiling. My wife likes the chains much better than the brackets (although the screen hangs so close to the ceiling, there is very little chain to see.)

Great screen for the price,

What a wonderful improvement this screen makes over the bed sheet I had pinned to my curtain rods, and for only $114! This screen arrived in just a few days and included free shipping. It is exactly as described in the specs, and works great with my projector. I might have gone for a gray screen had I known it would look better with some ambient light. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought an Epson 8100 projector, and wasnt' going to buy a screen (just show on my light brown wall) because of screen price. I found this screen on Amazon, and got lucky for no tax, no shipping charge, direct fed-ex to my home. The screen is pretty heavy duty, so I was a little scared when tempted to hang it with whatever small nails I could find, so I went to the hardware store to get the right screws to secure it - if this thing falls off your wall it'll be all over so hang it right! Da-Lite makes this screen and a "wide screen" for 16x9. For me, this screen is about 5 feet top to bottom and 8 feet across, which was perfect for the wide screen format of my projector - I don't see the need to buy the wide screen Screen unless you need a bigger image than around 110 diagonal image which seems to be the norm for HD home projectors. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it. One warning though as other reviews have mentioned, the screen gives off a very noticeable rubber odor for a couple days, so if you can, leave the screen pulled open, and crack a window for a day or three. Otherwise this is a great investment!
