Just as real,

I studied Aerospace Engineering in college. I've found all I wanted from this software. The flight characteristics are extremely real, together the same with the Avionics. However, you'll need a powerful video card to get it work to its full capacity, and the virtual cockpit at night doesn't look as great as the Microsoft version. I would also prefer them to give us a more detailed manual to operate the Flight Management System. Q&A assistance at JustFlight is very helpful. This is not a "computer game", you'll need to plan your trip before making the full use of all the systems.

737 Pilot in Command, a realistic experience,

If you are new to flight simming or have a lot of time in your V logbook this sofeware title is a fun and educational tool for all. It has one of the best documentation publications of any of the add-on titles I own. It explains the operation and function of CDU (FMC) using a setp wise procedure which is easy to follow. Its author, Airline Captain Mike Ray goes over the flight routines for the "737" series 300,400 and 500, so every thing makes sense. There are lot of liveries and tons of realistic working items in the simulation. The folks at Just Flight, Wilcopub and Feelthere have produced a gem of an add-on game for flight simmers. I have several Just Flight titles and they always hit the ball out of the park when it comes to realism and fun. As an avid simmer and Pvt. pilot (slg. eng. land) I recommand this title for any one wanting to have fun and learn some real life lessons regarding flying jet airliners.(from a simmer in a v world) Also, Amazon is a great place to do business when concidering purchases of flight sim software and hardware.

While this product strives for realism in it's 737 300/400/500 series jets, the hardest part is making it stable on your machine. Since it is the only 737 series add-on for FSX (at the moment) I was left with little choice. I have had a lot of fun with it, but not without pulling my hair out as well. After pouring over the support forums it seems to me that the developers really don't care for Vista OS and have a 'funny' attitude towards people that have problems with their product and Vista. If you have the time and patience I would wait for the 'other' add-on people to do their own version... it is in the works.

This product is a great addition to the Flight simulator 2004. It adds to the realism involved in systems for basic knowledge in 737. Easy to install and understand.

This being my first add-on to FSX, I have to say that I am very satisfied. Nice graphics, way more realistic physics compared to the default planes that come included in the FS. Actually after trying this 737 package I don't feel like using the default planes anymore, as they seem unrealistic and the graphics are comparatively poor, specially the fuselage.
The only issues I have are that the push-back cars at the airport gates do not really hook with the plane, but as soon as they make contact it is detected as a "crash" or collision, and the game stops. The other issue is that the flight management computer says it is "out of date". I tried downloading the last update from Just flight.com but it is also outdated. Other that that, very good product, nice animations, altitude and terrain voice alerts, the handbook is also good and easy to read, just a few details are missing (the engines were not starting after following all steps, but after a few minutes I was able to figure out the problem). I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This program is awesome. The manual is easy to follow from start-up to flight. The only problem I've had is updating the flight management computer (FMC) database. But it still has most airports and waypoints available and the flight characteristics and graphics are outtasight!

This is not the PMDG style add-on with loads and loads of switches and controls to learn, but it does an excellent job - well done. Very stable too (no PC crashes).

I'm currently a VATSIM (virtual air simulation) ATC, and have flown many of the aircraft offered by FSX, nothing compares to the reality of this aircraft, its easy to fly and loads of fun.
I highly recommend it to any new or experienced sim pilots. |
