5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Guide to Herbs, March 16, 2009
By
This review is from: 75 Exceptional Herbs For Your Garden (Hardcover)
Author Jack Staub, a former actor who now resides at the renown Hortulus Farm in Bucks County, PA, with his famous garden-designer partner Renny Reynolds, does a wonderful job in presenting the information in 75 EXCEPTIONAL HERBS FOR YOUR GARDEN. Occassionally he will praise the plant but advises to buy the herb or oil at the local health food store as the processing is best left to another. And some plants are available in the wild. But the main idea is to encourage the construction of an herb garden of one's own, in full sun with light sandy soil, and reap the benefits. This is an interesting and well-researched book that gardeners will enjoy.

I love this series of books, beautifully designed, bound, written and illustrated. The price is unbelievably low for the quality.

This book has a nice look and feel to it, with color illustrations of the plants, and easy to read language. So I enjoy owning it. On the down side, about half of the content seems to be pulled from Wikipedia.
