75 Year-Round Hikes in Northern California

i am disappointed overall. many of the hikes in far northern california are in fact at or around the gigantic mt. shasta reservoir. for wilderness enthusiasts or simply people who do not see beauty in a reservoir due to the unsustainable water practices of california agriculture, this book is a bitter pill! similarly, i went on a redwood coast hike described in this book that turned out to be on a road. the henry coe backpacking trip is also mostly on (dirt) roads. while dirt-road hiking can be enjoyable, i did expect to be notified in a book of this detail level when the "trail" is not a trail. lastly, the writing is newspaper-level prose, and on the back cover, the map of northern california is off: there is no san francisco bay!

I found details on several local hikes that I couldn't find anywhere else. Good job Marc!

Bought the book for a gift so never really read it, but I did flip through some of the pages before wrapping it :) I loved the photos accompanying the hikes and the info box listing the level type, distance, etc. so the reader would know if that hike was for them.

I really liked how the book came to me in the mail. The packaging was great and the book was not damaged. I was very pleased.
