This is a black light bulb - literally. It's NOT an ultraviolet light as you would expect from the name, it's a dark colored light bulb. Be forewarned, you're probably not going to get what you're expecting.

I rush-bought this in amazon prime happy mode--didn't even consider that a black light could be bad... And it certainly is. I honestly can't believe these people were able to market this. I'm posting this review to hopefully stop that.
Oh right,.. by "bad" I mean that it barely emits any light at all, and the thing nearly burned my hand 5 seconds after i turned it on.

You can hardly see it,but it will provide a lot of heat.
Seller was very nice to provide me with a full refund.
The bulb is in the garbage.

Does not work at all as advertised, does not make anything glow like a true blacklight. Only gets really hot and emits a weak purple glow that is not the same as normal blacklights. I bought 4, tried all of them and none of them did anything, even with all the lights out white things did not "glow" as advertised

I waited forever for my bulb to finally get to me, and when it did I was highly disappointed.

What a P.O.S. bulb. This thing barley emits ANY light at all and is very hot after about 3 seconds being on. It probably would work better as a hand warmer then a supposed "Black Light" they market this as.

I have purchased a lot of merchandise from amazon and all of it has been great, except for this. Everything is wrong with these light bulbs. First of all they are NOT blacklight, or so little that it is hard to tell. Second, they are incredibly weak. This 75 Watt light bulb makes less light than a 2 W led light!

This is a purple light bulb. It emits a very weak purple glow. It will not make white objects or UV reactive things glow at all, even in total darkness.

Terrible product. This is not an ultraviolet light as the name suggests.

What I got was just a purple light, it looked cool but its not a blacklight!!

Pros:
- Turns on.

Cons:
- The box pictured with the bulb isn't constructed properly, leaving the bulb vulnerable to damage during shipment.
- Quality control. Ordered two bulbs. The glass tint on one of them was less purple than the other.
- Light output was extreemly low for a 75w bulb and varied between the two bulbs.
- Don't actually emit much UV light.

Other Thoughts:
I sent both bulbs back.

It's OK.I put it in the Fixture Just Outside my Front Door for Halloween and it Looks Good Enough.Just Isnt Bright Enough.I Thought That a 75 Watt Bulb Would be Bright Enough.I was Wrong.Should Have Bought a 100 Watt.Live and Learn,Right?
