Take the trail less traveled with the XT25. With its 2,500 lb. line capacity and 50' of synthetic rope, you'll be able to recover your vehicle (or your buddy's vehicle) with ease. It's great for plow lifting, too. The XT25 showcases an all-metal 3-stage planetary geartrain for smooth, reliable operation, a handlebar-mounted mini-rocker switch for convenient control, a short-throw clutch, and fast line speed. A patented disc brake ensures positive control while winching while full sealing keeps the elements out. And the efficient electrical system minimizes battery drain and keeps your winch working time after time.
Reliable winching performance for work or playPowersports winches see a wide variety of conditions including water, mud, dirt, and sand. These outside forces are constantly trying to get inside your winch--the more that gets in, the less reliability, durability, and performance the winch has.
The best way to keep the elements out of your winch is to buy a product that is well sealed. WARN RT/XT 25, 30, and 40 series winches are designed from the ground up with full sealing to provide the best protection from the worst that Mother Nature can throw at you.
WARN places eight specifically designed seals at locations where water and debris are prone to enter, allowing the winch to operate at its peak performance. Some areas, such as the winch drum, are even double sealed for extra protection. These features ensure that WARN Powersports winches are the most weather-resistant, reliable, and best-performing winches you can buy.
When you're looking to buy a winch, don't fall for claims of waterproofing. You want a product that is designed and engineered for the ultimate in performance, reliability, and durability. Get the best-sealed and highest-performing winches on the market: Get a WARN winch and Go Prepared.

This review is from: WARN 75500 XT25 Extreme Terrain 2500-lb Winch (Automotive)
I went with the XT25 over the RT25 because of the synthetic rope. Being that the main reason I was adding a winch in the first place was to raise and lower a new plow, the synthetic rope is a must because of the angle of pull and the constant back and forth is tough on the wire rope.I installed this winch on a Suzuki 700 Kingquad. The install was pretty straight forward. The sequence is the same no matter what you are installing it on, not necessarily specific to the Kingquad. 1. Mount the winch, No matter what you are putting it on, you usually need a mounting plate. I bought one directly from Warn, which is a little more money, but the bolt pattern and front lip for the fairlead roller are lined up perfectly. Some others are universal fit. That's what you'll get, fits with universal fitting mounts. 2. Mount the contactor. Probably the toughest part. On the Kingquad, there is a space under the seat perfect for it with predrilled holes that line up perfectly. 3. Connect the control rocker switch to the handlebar and run the cable to the area whereever you mounted the contactor. Plug it in, its idiot proof, there is only one obvious place to connect them to the contactor. The seperate red wire is tapped into a wire that is only powered when the key is in the AUX position. I chose the Aux headlight. 4. Make the power connections. The Kingquad has a pre run conduit that runs from under the seat to the front end where the winch is mounted. Made this easy. Others makes and models have the same feature. Two cable connect to the winch, two cables connect to the battery positive and negative. That's it. Test it out. After a week of use, I am very, very pleased with the operation. Its smooth, quiet, and solid. Yanks the plow up and down very smoothly. Yanked me out of a big mud hole with ease. No problems at all. I highly recommend this piece of equipment.

Winch is easy to install, and works far better than the two previous brands I have had in the last 3 years. Great price for a WARN winch, and with the $50 rebate, you can't beat it.
