This review is from: WARN 75500 XT25 Extreme Terrain 2500-lb Winch (Automotive)
I went with the XT25 over the RT25 because of the synthetic rope. Being that the main reason I was adding a winch in the first place was to raise and lower a new plow, the synthetic rope is a must because of the angle of pull and the constant back and forth is tough on the wire rope.

I installed this winch on a Suzuki 700 Kingquad. The install was pretty straight forward. The sequence is the same no matter what you are installing it on, not necessarily specific to the Kingquad. 1. Mount the winch, No matter what you are putting it on, you usually need a mounting plate. I bought one directly from Warn, which is a little more money, but the bolt pattern and front lip for the fairlead roller are lined up perfectly. Some others are universal fit. That's what you'll get, fits with universal fitting mounts. 2. Mount the contactor. Probably the toughest part. On the Kingquad, there is a space under the seat perfect for it with predrilled holes that line up perfectly. 3. Connect the control rocker switch to the handlebar and run the cable to the area whereever you mounted the contactor. Plug it in, its idiot proof, there is only one obvious place to connect them to the contactor. The seperate red wire is tapped into a wire that is only powered when the key is in the AUX position. I chose the Aux headlight. 4. Make the power connections. The Kingquad has a pre run conduit that runs from under the seat to the front end where the winch is mounted. Made this easy. Others makes and models have the same feature. Two cable connect to the winch, two cables connect to the battery positive and negative. That's it. Test it out.

After a week of use, I am very, very pleased with the operation. Its smooth, quiet, and solid. Yanks the plow up and down very smoothly. Yanked me out of a big mud hole with ease. No problems at all.

I highly recommend this piece of equipment.

Winch is easy to install, and works far better than the two previous brands I have had in the last 3 years. Great price for a WARN winch, and with the $50 rebate, you can't beat it.
