I was having great difficulty locating a brass,(there are lots of chrome, but brass is hard to find), hand shower in retail stores; then I found that Amazon carried this one. It's been terrific (once I figured out how to attach it...it was easy once I had the correct tools to remove the leaking old one!). It has several different strengths of spray and is quite manageable for such a low price.. I can highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hand shower.

I bought this one only because of the "brushed oil" finish that is throughout all of our new house. The price is reasonable and the hand shower is okay, maybe slightly above average. The only negatives that I can think of are:

1) Don't expect to be able to change the massage settings easily. We only use it on one setting (simply as a removable regular shower head so that my wife could wash herself), so this is not an issue for us, but be aware of this before you buy.

2) The construction is all plastic in spite of the metal-looking finish. I don't expect it to last very long. To be honest, I expected most of the product to be metal based on the pictures and the price.

3) In spite of what the manual says (that the flow restrictor is an integral part of the backflow prevention device that is integrated into the hose), the actual restrictor is in fact in the usual place, not inside the hose. The restrictor is right behind the particle screen inside the hand shower head itself if you look at the end of the handle where it attaches to the hose. So it can be modified (or removed) relatively easily with some tools if you are a handyman, you know what you are doing and what the consequences will be and if your wife complains that she cannot wash her hair with the standard low flow :-)

I will buy several more of these heads for the remaining bathrooms in our house.

It's been a bit trying to find hand-showers in bright brass over the past few years that were not so expensive. When I saw this one with an additional 15% off, I decided to give it a shot. Installation was less than 10 min. and very easy. The water spray has thicker streams than the one I replaced which is nice but the flow is not as strong (but is adequate). I'm sure the flow rating is meant to conserve water. The massage setting is nothing special, just a narrow and higher force stream of water. It suits my needs for an economical bright brass hand shower.

This is a very nice-looking hand shower. It was the most affordable one that I could find in a hand-rubbed bronze finish. It installs easily and quickly with no issues, and looks great.

The only problem is that the water pressure suffers. My older white hand shower broke, so I replaced it with this one, which matches the fixtures in the bathroom. I miss my old one.

This shower is described on Amazon as Five-Spray, and then later in the description as Seven-Spray. I'm not sure what that means. I can only find 3 settings on this puppy (and contrary to another reviewer, mine easily changes settings mid-spray by rotating the ring-nozzle-thing. You DO get water in your eye, but that always happens when I stare directly into a shower head.) The "massage" setting is very forceful, but not really a massage. If you want a massage, get a jacuzzi....or a masseuse. These shower-massagers don't cut it for me. Another setting is a generic shower, and the 3rd is halfway between shower and "massage".

I'm pretty picky about my showers and I like just the right amount of pressure and dispersion of the water. You may not be that finicky. If you aren't...then this is a fantastic shower. If you are, you might be a little disappointed in the water pressure on the 1st setting. It's not wimpy, just not as good as it could be. But I'm hanging on to it....I really like the finish and I can manage with the lower pressure for now.

Color: Satin Nickel
I purchased this product based on reviews on this and other sites. I'm very happy with the product, its appearance and the quality - it is typical Delta quality: sturdy and sound. I didn't need complicated water flow settings and this unit offers more simplistic settings. It also features excellent water pressure. Other strong sales points were the anti-clog nozzles, the internal water-way, double check valve and breaker vacuum. Finally, it is very easy to install (I'm a petite woman) and hasn't leaked at all.

From a decision-making standpoint, potential buyers may find these product details helpful:

1) You swivel the shower head face to adjust the water flow, creating varying pressure levels on an outer spray ring, an inner spray jet and a combination of the two. The outer spray ring can be adjusted to a low ebb for washing hair or shaving so you don't have to waste water or turn it off. So again, this shower head offers more simplistic as opposed to complex settings;
2) The water flow settings are changed by swiveling the outer ring, and not via a finger lever, which creates a bit more work if you like to change your settings often or have small hands; and
3) If your shower neck (pipe) bends on an angle (as in the picture), the handset will tend to spray water more downward than outward. If you prefer water jetting outward, consider swapping out your curved neck (pipe) for a smaller, straight pipe.

Again, this is a great product and the facts noted above are meant simply to provide more decision making criteria.
