User-Friendly Design for Easy Maintenance
Cleanup is a snap thanks to the 5-foot Ultra-Flex hose, which provides extra reach that spares your back. The hose is equipped with a vacuum breaker to protect your water supply from contamination. Working Great -- one year later,

Update: Had this for almost a year; my review below is still our opinion. We are now purchasing this for our guest bathroom.
We've only been using this unit for a short time, but so far so good. Here are our observations: 1. Although it looks metallic ... this baby is 100% plastic. So we'll see how long it lasts. 2. Installation was a breeze. Instructions said "hand tighten" and so I did. Used teflon tape and have little to no leaks. 3. Ball joint to move around the unit works perfectly. On other units I have owned they were usually too tight; this one is perfect. 4. Switch to use just handheld or combo is placed well and works fine. 5. Water pressure is amazingly strong. 6. I tested the water volume and these were the results: 2 gal/min from Base unit, 2 gal / min from Handheld unit, 3.25 gal / min from combined Base and Handheld. And living in a drought prone area (central coast, CA) we want to conserve as much water as we can so we probably won't be using the combined feature. 7. Handheld unit on the "massage" setting really puts out pressure. 8. Handheld unit fits snugly into base unit. I can see how it might pop out, but this has not happened to us yet.

I was surprised that a product from Delta was so poorly designed and constructed. I returned it and got the Waxman 8679400 5-Spray Distinctives Handheld Showerhead, Chrome and Satin Chrome instead. Works perfectly.
This product is made entirely of mid-range quality plastic. It is heavy and awkward to handle. The fittings on the Delta leaked and there was nothing I could do to correct this problem. My plumbing skills are pretty advanced. I attempted several times to stop the leaks without success. My conclusion is that it was constructed with very poor quality and that the parts would not fit together well enough to ever stop leaking. Also, the large shower head around the perimeter puts out a wide area of spray... great for a large shower enclosure; not so great for an average or smaller space. I normally follow the advice of the Amazon reviewers. In this case I did not and paid the price for it...

I recently purchased one of these Delta shower systems for my master bathroom. So far I'm quite impressed. In every mode I've tested thus far ths showerhead produces an impressive amount of water pressure. I've tried changing settings. While I don't find much difference between most of the settings (the exception being the massage setting) I'm pleased with it's function.
I find it interesting that others indicated having issues installing the system securely and without leaks. I used good quality teflon tape from the get-go and it's been rock solid. No leaks! While there are things that I wish had been implemented differently I'm satisfied with what I got...
