4.0 out of 5 stars Nice light, serves my purposes
Pros: The light output is pretty bright, and is more like "daylight" color (clear & white, not yellowish). The on-off switch is very solid, it charges very quickly (as advertised), and it will operate while plugged in - so you can use it even if batters are drained.

Cons: The light is directional, with a definite point of focus. From about 3 feet, it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very bright, but lasted less than 1 yr due to the battery
For several months I really liked this light. The output is extremely bright and it's a very useful light. However, there's a sticker on it stating (paraphrasing) "don't leave plugged in for over 6 hrs." Well, this obviously is not gonna happen; not surprisingly, I once left it plugged it too long, and now it won't take a full charge and the light output is very weak...

Well, this obviously is not gonna happen; not surprisingly, I once left it plugged it too long, and now it won't take a full charge and the light output is very weak. So it's garbage, all because of a faulty design. Leaving it plugged in should not destroy the product, and monitoring your recharging is simply not practical. Very frustrating. Lasted less than 10 months.

From about 3 feet, it projects a very bright patch of light roughly 12 to 16 inches diameter. Light does spill outside of this focus area (180 degrees), but it's not as bright (similar to a flashlight with a bright core, then a dimmer area of surrounding light, except the surrounding area is much greater with this light).

Overall, this is a good light if you don't mind having to "aim" it at your work area. I'm happy with mine, and would recommend it if you don't mind this caveat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally the perfect work light!, August 11, 2007
This review is from: 78 LED Work Light - Quick Charge - Cordless (Misc.)
This is a great light for the price. It works really well and although it has a more focused light than a regular trouble light, that hasn't been a real problem yet. It charges really quickly and with the switch to turn off half of the LEDs it can last much longer. I have used mine to explore caves and mines and as a regular camping light as well as a work light. You can't do that with any of the old style light. The fact that it does not get hot is an even greater bonus. My kids play with mine all of the time especially when the power goes out. I am going to buy a couple more as they are so handy. The only negative thing i can say is that the hooks are not heavy enough but that's not hard to fix.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light without glare....., July 18, 2007

Great product!!! I was tired of using my regular drop light that was always blowing out bulbs along with throwing off a lot of heat in tight spaces. This led light works like a charm. Great light, no heat, and no extension cord to get under your feet. Will run for about 3-4 hours on a charge, which is more than enough for the average person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best lite I have bought, May 31, 2008
This review is from: 78 LED Work Light - Quick Charge - Cordless (Misc.)
I work in burned out buildings where the windows and doors have been covered and there is no natural light. This light has been great. It provides enough light for my forensic investigations. The hooks allow me to hang the light on door frames so that I can work with both hands to dig out a fire scene. It provides a natural light allowing for good pictures of evidence. The charge lasts longer than I had expected - it is a trouble free light. I highly recommend this light for anyone who has to work in dark places!

4.0 out of 5 stars 78 led work light, October 19, 2007

I Bought two of these. They will be work lights that will be equipped in my tow trucks. Shop around and you can get these less than $20 each. My only regret that these did not come with a cigarette lighter adapter to charge from the vehicle.

Professional Mechanic's Ultra-Bright Cordless 78-LED Quick-Charge Work Light

I really liked this light, unfortunately, it's a stupid design that cannot be left to charge for over 6 hours. Well, not surprisingly, I left it plugged in overnight and now it won't take a full charge and the light output is very weak. So it's garbage. Leaving it plugged in should not destroy the product, and monitoring your recharging is simply not practical. Very frustrating. Mine lasted less than 4 months which is a crying shame because I really liked this light. The output is extremely bright and when it's battery was good it lasted forever on a charge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful cordless light!, February 5, 2008
This review is from: 78 LED Work Light - Quick Charge - Cordless (Misc.)
I bought 6 of these at Christmas time as gifts. Everyone loved them. They recharge quickly and are an awesome trouble light (lighting up a specific work area). The ability to use only half of the lights is a great feature...saves on battery life. And the cordless feature makes them the ideal item to keep in a car for those oh so frustrating times when you have a tire to change or something under the hood to look at...in the dark! I would highly recommend this light.

Very nice portable, cordless, bright work light. Not very duable though. I've used mine quite a bit and of course have dropped it quite a few times, I soon will have to use tape to hold it together...still works though. It has a double tilt switch to either light up all led's or just half of them. The position for all led's has given me problems since the first time I dropped it. But even with only have of them, still a very bright light.

2.0 out of 5 stars so okay, February 11, 2010

At first I was disappointed. It looks like a toy. It is inexpensively made. It feels like it will fall apart in my hands.
The light does the job though. It is bright and it last at least six hours. It must have cost three dollars to make though,
I wrapped it in a large baggie and a rubber band so it would not short out in the rain and snow.
