This is a good folding knife. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the blade steel. CRKT had been using a lot of AUS4 and AUS 6 for their blade steels. They are definitely inferior metals for knife blades.I ordered this one because it is 8cr14mov steel which is closer to AUS8.
For $20. it is a lot of knife..Good sharp steel.Sturdy frame. Nice secure grips.Liner lock plus additional push lock to secure the knife open.
Flipper blade for fast opening.Thumb studs. One removable pants clip for each side of knife so..your choice.
The desert tan grips with the black blade looks really cool too!
Don't forget that it is a larger folding pocket knife so may be a little bulky in pants pockets.
I have an earlier model they made for desert warfare in Iraq. It has a somewhat heavier sturdier blade of AUS 8. A better knife. But they retailed for up to $78.00 All in all I'm very pleased with this and surprised at the quality for this price. May get another one!

Great Knife! Handle has an amazing feel to the grip. Little slow to come out of your pocket because of the textured handle but a slight bending of the pant clip will help with that. SUPER SHARP! CRKT knives are always good especially for the money. Solid and well built for a lifetime.

I was very surprised when this arrived because I did not expect to get this kind of quality for the cost. The handle is non slip works with gloves and and holds a decent edge. It can be deployed with one hand when I am breaking down boxes. My only complaint is that it is a bit large in the pocket. It is an outstanding utility knife and at this cost it is an outstanding value. Blade was centered in the handle, easy to open LAWKs works great. It just takes some practice closing with one hand but that is not a problem. I would recommend. I can't wait to use it fishing at the lake this summer.

If you're looking for a knife to slip into your pocket, keep looking. This is a fat, heavy, well made knife but it's better suited to a range bag, tackle box or console of your truck. I'm happy with it, very tight, perhaps a little too tight. The liner lock didn't lock up smoothly (the reason for 1 star ding). I have operated it several times and messed with it a little and now it is locking up well. Just too tightly fitted which is better than too loose when new. Blade is centered and zero play in it, any direction.

For serious knife work, this is the right tool. It's a beast. It's going in a trunk bag with other emergency supplies. My 5.11 Tactical Scout will remain my EDC. For a carry knife it's my favorite by far. This one has a place and I'm glad to add it as yet another heavy duty knife option. I expect it'll still be going strong when my grandson inherits it in a few decades.

Knife came in razor sharp and is well built. Dont expect a slim light knife because its not also its a lil big 2 be an EDC. Great knife overall and good price.

A good value, blade sharpens easily, enough heft for serious work, for 26 bucks you can't go wrong, keep it in your truck.
