5.0 out of 5 stars Kj-52
I went to a youth program for the past week. they played one of Kj's songs. I read the lyrics first, and I thought they were good. I'm christain, and enjoy rap, but Eminem has a huge impact on today's teens. Kj makes me want to get rid of my slim shady cd's. I recomend it to anyone.

3.0 out of 5 stars original KJ
This is a re-release of KJ's first major label release. Anyone who is familiar with KJ is likely familiar with his later music which came after this original album.

This album showcases a kind of 'original KJ.' A little more edgy, and not as goofy as his later albums. I like KJ, but this album was almost trying a little TOO hard to sound like...

5.0 out of 5 stars Kaleigh, from New York how could you say that. . ., April 27, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: 7th Avenue (Audio CD)
I just read the review by 'Kaleigh of Bronx, NY', and I was shocked. Swearing and cussing does NOT make you a real rapper, or whatever bologna she was trying to say. I could give an excuse as to why she wasn't a human, but that would still make her a human.
KJ-52 has touched hundreds, even thousands of souls and performs RAP AT ITS BEST. He has fun lyrics and catchy tunes, and makes music worth listening to. Look, you may not agree with what he says, but that doesn't give you the right to trash him and say he doesn't even do rap. And for those so called 'rappers' that she suggested, all you'll get is the same old depressing garbage about how awful life is. They still do rap music, which she probably doesn't understand, because what kind of music you do is determined by the STYLE, not the LYRICS.
KJ doesn't completely rip your heart out with songs about how pointless and frusterating life is, but he doesn't present life to be one big rainbow. He shows it from both sides - for what it really is. Don't be scared away. KJ is God-sent, he truly believes what he sings about, and is very much worth your time, money and prayer.

I BOUGHT THIS CD FOR MY SON TO TRY AND CONVINCE HIM THAT THERE IS GOOD CHRISTIAN RAP, THIS CD WON HIM OVER! HE IS 11 YEARS OLD AND CONSTANTLY WANTING TO LISTEN TO RAP LIKE EMINEM - WHO HE THOUGHT HUNG THE MOON BTW - HE NOW LIKENS THIS ARTIST TO "JUST LIKE EMINEM BUT WITHOUT THE BAD STUFF". WE ARE ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE NEXT CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good CD, Good Message, April 5, 2004

Look, KJ-52 to me, is someone to really look up to. He is talented to the point that he could go really far in the mainstream, but he chooses to keep his lyrics clean and shows that Christian music isn't just hymns. Yo, he realizes that if he stands for nothing, he'll fall for anything! That's why I'll still keep coming back for more and that is why you should too. Oh yeah and the one-star review writer I must say, is a determined, ignorant person who needs God's love in his life just as much as everyone in the world. The "Get Real" response, I must say was an embarassment to Christianity and I ask that anyone who reads that who isn't a Christian does not take that as how Christians think. Music Fan from Michigan needs to check hiself cuz that ain't the way you portray Christ's LOVE! So ya'll, buy all three cd's, and GOD BLESS!!!

This CD has got me hoked on rap & hip-hop! And even a year after it's release, I still have it in my CD player! It just doesn't really seem to get old! The best parts are the 'testimony', relating Christ as "The best MC ever". I can't explain this CD in words- all I can say is that you will not regret this purchase AT ALL!

4.0 out of 5 stars Missing my favorite song but adds several other good ones, October 16, 2005

When I first heard the original version of cd when it came out, i thought, Wow, a guy that sounds like Eminem and is a Christian. awesome. Then I got to pick up the cd and hear it for myself, and I was hooked. These songs are all awesome. Some of my favorites are 1,2,3, Keep It Moving, Do What I Do, and Integrety. However, for this reissue they left off my favorite song from the original, They Know Not, along with all of the skits found on the original cd. However as a bonus they added a song called Lift Me Up which KJ originally recorded on his first demo cd (the song being a remake of Flood by Jars Of Clay), as well as a song cut with Pigeon John and John Reuben called All Around The World (which should've been left off the cd in my opinion), a remix of It's The S.O.I., a song called 12th Round Knockout which was released on a movie soundtrack previously, and another song called Need Someone which I believe was also part of his first demo cd. This cd is pretty solid all around but if they had left They Know Not on and taken All Around The World off, it would've been perfect.
