5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game Series, October 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 7th Sea Players' Guide ~ 1668 (7th Sea) (Hardcover)
I've played Dungeons and Dragons, and other pen and paper games, but this game in particular I find great. You aren't just limited to fighting, in fact sometimes the best stratagy is to run, but run with flair. The system is based on a d10 (10 sided dice) system and nothing is ever impossible, it might be very very difficult, but never impossible. The game is based off 1600s europe and instead of races, you have countrys, each with their own specific magic, and rules. You create the character you want, give him/her a background and play as your character. Depending on how well you play, the GM (Game Master) may reward you, and may not. Many things are possible and I would suggest this game to anyone who has played any other pen and paper games or wants to try one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, but the author listing is wrong, July 8, 2009
One of the best role playing games out there. The roll and keep system is superb, and the setting is on par with the best settings ever in a game. A whole new world to explore, but still recognizable for fans of European history. Play as pirates, corsairs, musketeers, or even Isaac Newton - Man of Action! The intrigue and social system is unseen in almost any other game and this really makes this game open up a whole new area for players t explore and enjoy.

I've owned four copies of this book, and have worn out two and gave away the third, it's that good.

Quick Note: John Wick, Jennifer Wick, and Kevin Wilson are the actual authors of this book, not the gobbledygook listed by Amazon.
