Woah! Can this be -the- Joey McIntyre?,

This review is from: 8:09 (Audio CD)
Woah! I'm totally amazed by this CD. I own Stay the Same. I like it. I listen to it occasionally, but mostly as a nostalgic trip back to my pre-teen years, when I idolized the NKOTB. I happened to hear some good things about 8:09 - so I went to B&N, listened there, and was really, really surprised. This is a stand-alone, breakthrough CD. If there were any doubts before, this CD proves that Joey McIntyre can do it on his own, irregardless of his past. And this is Joey McIntyre at his best, too.

Mr McIntyre Keeps Getting Better,

This album by Joe shows how much he has matured and progressed as a solo artist since his first album. In my mind Joe has gone from strength to strength, to be honest, bar 2 songs I didn't like his first album Stay the Same, and its only by accident I heard his second album Meet Joe Mac. However on the strength of Meet Joe Mac and One to Many I purchased 8:09 and was blown away. I absoululy love the dance track Dance Like That, I can imagine the sexy video clip as I sing along. The second dance track This Is Different is also fantastic, (is it just me or are there many refrences to Brittany Spears in this song). I loved California (maybe because I was in California when I brought this album)and its the first song I learnt word for word, I drove around California belting out this song whilst drumming away on the steering wheel. These three dance tracks are the stand out tracks. Although its over-shadowed by the dance tracks LA Blue stands by itself, not a dance song, not a ballad, but a fantastic mixed tempo song. Of the ballads I loved Endlessly whilst Supergirl, Love Me That Way and Someday are enjoyable and easy to listen to. The only song I had to learn to enjoy was Falling, this was because I loved this song on the live album with Eman, and you know how people feel when they mess with songs you already know. 8:09 is a complete package of dance, funk, and ballads which will only add class to your CD collection. I love this album and have no hesition in recommending this album to my friends. If you have never brought a Joe Mac CD buy 8:09, it is Joe's best album by far and the only review I have ever been inspired to write.
