Be Rich In Music,
By A Customer
This review is from: 80 Dimes (Audio CD)
Let me start off by saying that the bass in this album is extreme. Now that that's out of the way, this is one of the best albums of the summer. Like B Rich says in "Eighty (All I Need)", "Every track's so hot". Very true. He's not just all "Bling Bling" like you might think, he's actually very deep in some songs like in "Back to the Streets" where he talks about how rappers now days just talk about money, cars, guns, and women when most of them are just fake when the music stops. Get 80 Dimes at all costs.

B Rich's catchy voice on Whoa Now had me thinkin the rest of tha album would be party/family joints like the first single. However, this album is full of deeper songs than whoa now, but it still has a few high energy club-like cuts. All I can say is if you like B Rich on Whoa Now, cop the album... its more than worth your money.

Classic Debut,

B-Rich the fellow NE Baltimore native (as am I) delivers a solid album. A little different sounding rap album - it is fire, his lyrics are tight, the beat are different but good, and his delivery different but solid as well. Except for "Whoa Now" (Which sucks and I don't know how he sold off this single alone) and one other track the cd is great. A classic must have album for hip-hop fans, it won't disappoint.
Also if you can find any of the following get 'em----- ** Nature's Problem from West B-More (they aiight), (holler at me if you can get me "The Future" or "Code of the Streets" (gzoverlea6@aol.com) ** Comp (West B-More- he's tight and still a teen -when he drops - he on Def Jam), ** North East Kings (NE B-More - they aiight - if you see someone sellin' `em on the street), ** 5 Diggy (he aiight - if you see someone sellin' `em on the street), ** Chae Fontaine's "See What I See Episode 1" - it's the sh*t, and ** Tim Trees - (East B-More) "Dalton Vol. 1" & "Dalton Vol. 2" (they're tight) #1 - 8.5 #2 - 8 #3 - 9 (upbeat song) #4 - 10 (classic) #5 - 9.5 #6 - 8 #7 - 1 (I hate this song, it's the worst off the cd and I have no idea why it was the single or why people like it) #8 - 8.5 #9 - 9 #10 - (classic) #11 - 7.5 (another upbeat song) #12 - 8 #13 - 6.5 #14 - 5 #15 - (remix of the horrible "Whoa Now) #16 (sampler of Twista's "Kamikaze" album) b. - Brian Rich - Baltimore, MD - 1980 check out all my reviews

Everytime "Whoa Now" comes on, I flip the channel. B Rich is a disgrace to hip-hop. I hope he won't be around for a while. Look at the album cover, that's the worst I've seen. Pack yo bags and B Poor.
